[Hello Fleet, it's been a while since you all have seen this particular redhead's face on the network. Months, really, since she's made a public broadcast like this. She appears to be in a good mood, offering the fleet a smile, and even if her address is rather formal, her tone is warm and welcoming. Behind her is the greenhouse of the Iskaulit, with lots of tropical-looking plants and even what looks like fruit! Weird fruit! But fruit nonetheless.]

Good afternoon! For those of you who don't know me, I'm Dr. Beverly Crusher of the SS Blue Fish. I, along with Ino Yamanaka on the Three Twins, run the garden here on the Iskaulit. I've spoken with many of you who have expressed an interest in learning how to garden. In light of this, I've decided to offer classes of a sort... nothing too formal, just a weekly meeting where I can teach people the basics of taking care of plants in the environment of a starship. Though of course, if people want something more extensive, I'm more than happy to accommodate for that! But it seems best to start simple, see what people are most interested in. So, if this is something you think you'd like to be a part of or if you have any questions, you can either respond here or I'll be on the Iskaulit the rest of the afternoon should you prefer to talk in person.

Then again, I suppose I wasn't exactly in my most... attentive state of mind at that point.

[But she had at least been happy. At least there was that.]

I'm certain I can recreate the species I noted from memory.

[If it's any consolation, she's happy right now too. Perhaps it won't last all that long ~~it won't~~ but it's more genuine this time.]

To be perfectly honest, it's easier to think of my attempts at making a record than as art.

[She squeezes his hand. That's all right, she knows what a new concept this is for him.]

I'm glad you think so. I'm not at all sure of what I am doing.

[He shakes his head, very slightly.]

Friend Data often explored this type of activity, I presume?

Mmm-hmm. Data paints and plays violin and even has been in some plays we've put on.

Has he generally been met with success?

[He's not sure what sort of answer he wants, or expects.]

Varying degrees, as anyone would. I'd say he's most skilled at the violin, of all of them. He regularly plays with other musicians on the Enterprise, performing concerts for the crew.

Though I'll admit, I haven't seen as many of his paintings as I have his performances.

It's still such a strange idea to me. I had many more experiences unusual for a robot, but still never anything like that.

This place is full of strange ideas, I've found - which is not a bad thing.

[In fact, it's one of the things she actually likes about being here - meeting all these different people with different experiences and viewpoints, even if some of those viewpoints clash horribly with hers. But she's not willing to say so outloud. Who knows what Atroma would make of it?]

But very well. If this is to be 'my' plant, then I will make note of its development and record it visually.

[She smiles happily.]

Good. I hope it proves to be very... instructive.

[That means she hopes you like her present.]

I'm sure it will be very instructive.

[He does. He does, very much. He's had very few presents in his life, after all.]

Well, with your plant picked out: how about a little private lesson, hmm?

[Does she mean that to sound dirty? Probably. But she's quite content for him to take it at face value as well.]

[Oh. More flirting. Help.]

A private lesson would be greatly appreciated, Beverly.

[Yes. More flirting. She's incorrigible.

With a mischievous grin she pulls him into a little alcove between some shrubs and gives him a long kiss. Gardening lessons will come in a little bit, but at the moment she can't resist.]

[Well, he has no complaints about that. Daneel wraps his arms around her and returns the kiss with a deep warmth. He draws back after a moment, resting his forehead lightly against hers.]

I admit this isn't what I thought you meant.

[She gives a soft low laugh.]

But I take it you don't object?

Not at all.

[Of course not. Never. Honestly, he'd be quite content to stay like this, tucked away in this corner.]

Wonderful.

[Yes this corner is very nice, isn't it? Let's stay a while, even if it can't be forever. She kisses both his cheeks then the bridge of his nose before moving down to recapture his lips once more.]

[He's content to let her lead, and he follows gladly, one hand brushing through her hair with exquisite gentleness as he kisses her.]

[As for her hands, they encircle his waist and slowly pull him closer to her. There's no urgency in her movements, just a gentle desire to be near to him, enjoying the warmth of his body next to hers and the softness of his lips and the smell of dirt and leaves in the air. Kissing for the sake of kissing, not as a precursor to anything else.]

[He moves slowly, and gently, one hand at her waist and the other in her hair, and as he kisses her he dwells in her mind, listening, feeling a texture of pleasure he's becoming familiar with. He pauses, however, drawing back just a fraction.]

I don't object, but we do risk being interrupted here.

[Her nose scrunches up with amusement.]

Oh but that is all part of the fun isn't it?
