[Another month, another mingle. Once again, any visitors on the ship should bear in mind that there are locks installed all over the ship, so someone on board's gotta let you in. Or you can just stand there. And stare. And hope someone takes pity on you.]

That's good to know. Wouldn't want you setting a bad example. [But okay she'll be serious now.] You're really all right, though? I hope whoever did it isn't a regular visitor.

I'm fine, I promise. They just... In their world, doctors are more likely to harm you than they are to help you. It was a fear reflex, because of what they've gone through in the past.

[Vima grimaces.]

That's horrible. [She shakes her head.] I don't like you being attacked, but that's at least... understandable, if they think of a doctor as someone to fear.

[She nods.] I only wish I knew how to help them more. Times like this, I really miss Deanna... I could really use her help right now.

Yeah--Jedi can sense feelings, but knowing what to say about them is another thing. [She grins, a little rueful.] Not that I didn't believe you when you said caring for mental health is as important as the body... but this really brings it home, how much it's needed. For you and for your patient.

[She nods.] And it's even harder when you have people coming from worlds where healthcare is stigmatized or abusive or nonexistent.
