[ It's been about two weeks since Ramse first met Sascha and he figures the kid's probably hungry again. But after all that talk of venom, he's doing things his way. He's talked his way into some medical equipment and draws his own blood into a thermos he bought on the space station, then sends Sascha a private message:

Sascha, meet me outside the Starstruck again.

That should be curiosity-inducing enough to get the puppypire to scoot on over.

[It isn't obvious, but Bigby has relaxed a bit. This guy seems sensible and friendly and he's helping look after the idiot vampire. He gets mentally moved to the 'punch out a guy trying to fight him' list.]

I don't know how successful thinking before speaking is, but he's definitely thinking. Maybe I just ask the right questions.

It's not a bad thing that he knows. I don't think that kid's gotten much kindness before.

Most nights. If he's with me, I know he isn't crawling in with people uninvited. And he's light enough that I don't care.

[ Ramse obviously cares, but on the other hand he's been having trouble adjusting to sleeping on the ship the nights that he isn't with Celeste. Maybe it'll help them both. ]

[He pulls out a pack of cigarettes, tapping one out and offering the pack to Ramse.]

No thanks, I don't smoke. [ Interestingly, however, there's an ashtray on his nightstand. Someone else must use it. ] How often can you come by cigarettes in outerspace, anyway?

Most of the station things we stop by have them. In vending machines. I stock up when I have the chance and money, just in case. This place? I'm going through a lot more.

[He lights up with practiced ease. Whatever he's smoking, it's pungent and cheap.]

You don't like it here? Or have we just been here longer than usual?

[ That's cool, Ramse's used to all kinds of cigarettes. He offers the ashtray and then leans back against the wall, wishing he had a chair or something for this guy. ]

[Bigby wouldn't take a chair, probably. He does use the ashtray, because he's not uncivilised.]

I don't like it here. I prefer natural worlds. Recycled air, all these bodies and things crushed into small spaces... not my shit.

Being in space isn't my shit. But I guess this is what I showed up to, it's easier. We stop at planets too?

Yeah, we stop at planets. I haven't been here that long, but last planet... it was fucking beautiful. Snow and ice, huge forests, massive prey, it was amazing. So much better than this shit hole.

That sounds more my style, too. A planet, not a ship.

[ He thinks about his job in Eudio, and how much easier a time he had falling asleep to the sounds of the forest or city noise than that of the ship. Everything here is weird and wrong and he's just not adjusting well. ]
