Cry Wolf

Who: Big Bad Wolf + Anyone
Broadcast: n/a
Action: Isakaulit
When: Any time from now on.

[Bigby found out about the Iskaulit. Namely, that it is large and has big, open spaces.

Big enough for him. And so his clothes are hidden away safely and there's a giant wolf on the loose, exploring everything.

And not frolicking. He's hundreds upon hundreds of years old. He's definitely not frolicking or anything like it.]
nedstarksbastard: (the anthem won't explain it)

[Jon is on the Iskaulit mostly because he's kind of sick of just hanging around the Three Twins, and he's looking to explore what he can as well. So far, he hasn't really seen much of the Iskaulit, but that's just because he's been on the ship for ten minutes and hasn't gotten started yet.

...is that a giant wolf?

Is it frolicking?]

Well, you're an unexpected sight. [Usually, when most people see giant wolves, their instinct is to run the fuck away in the other direction. Not Jon Snow, who still really misses his own direwolf, and who thus steps forward in the wolf's direction, to kneel down and meet its gaze.] Are you lost?
nedstarksbastard: (we want it all)

[personal profile] nedstarksbastard 2016-03-21 05:42 am (UTC)(link)
[It. Can talk.

It's huge, sure, but Jon's seen enough shit that he barely flinches at the size. No, what he can't get past is the fact that it can talk.]

You can talk. [Way to state the obvious. He lets out a breath, runs his hand through his hair.] I thought you were lost, but it seems I thought wrong. [The huge wolf can talk. That's it. Jon's seen everything now.]
nedstarksbastard: (we'll carry on; we'll carry on)

[personal profile] nedstarksbastard 2016-03-21 06:00 am (UTC)(link)
[Yeah, this is definitely the most surreal conversation Jon's ever had, and he's talked with his dead brother here, so. He just eyes Bigby's snout with his usual wariness, and tucks his hands into his pockets.]

I don't doubt that. [What big teeth you have.] Thank you for the warning. I'll be sure to avoid you when you're hungry. [He's remarkably dry for someone who's just had their worldview flipped upside-down on them. Again.]

[That looks like frolicking to Kurt.

Actually, what it looks like is a fucking wolf, big enough to swallow him in one gulp, loose on the Iskaulit (he might be slightly exaggerating.) And him without swords, or guns, or even properly clawed nails to defend himself with, not that the latter would be much good. At least his ability to cling to the ceiling remains unimpeded.

He's not coming down, but he will skitter along the ceiling to follow the giant fucking predator in case he decides people look more appealing than exploring. If all else fails, Kurt assumes he can just teleport the wolf's head off.]

[Kurt had frozen once when Bigby was scenting for him, holding what breath was in his lungs until the wolf had started moving again. He freezes again when the wolf addresses him, pulling back into a crouch that deepens what shadow there is to hide in. Internally he curses not putting in the red lenses that cut the minute glow of his eyes, but he wasn't expecting a (apparently talking) massive wolf.]

Could be that I am. A great wolf is someone to be curious about, wouldn't you say?

Well I'd wager I'm not from your world, and I'm not typical of mutants in mine. [He's more physically mutated than most, and the ones that are tend to need special accommodations to interact with the world.

His tail swishes nearly silent through the air, nearly brushing his own spine.]
Where in the hell have they been keeping you hidden?
nedstarksbastard: (just a boy who had to sing this song)

[personal profile] nedstarksbastard 2016-03-21 07:01 am (UTC)(link)
[Some small part of Jon is reminded, abruptly, of Ghost. He misses his direwolf, Ghost doesn't talk, doesn't even make a sound.

He keeps his hands tucked into his pockets.]

So what would someone have to do for you to find them irritating? [Since he'd rather not get eaten and all.]

What makes you so certain of that? Is your world so small that you know everyone?

[Kurt nearly does, and his throat spasms with the aborted chuckle. A talking wolf isn't so strange in light of everything else he's done and seen in his life; a funny one is. Quietly he starts to move, his hands and feet whispering along the ceiling as he creeps closer. For a certain value of creeps, as he doesn't try to hide his voice when he speaks.] And which ship is large enough to accommodate you?

[personal profile] ecclesiophobic 2016-03-21 08:17 am (UTC)(link)
What makes you so certain of that? [Either one of those statements, because while Kurt's not entirely certain if by Fable he means something from a Grimm tale or a supposed god, he's not about to confess ignorance.

He won't confess to feeling sympathetic towards the (man? Not really, sounds male but man isn't a guarantee) wolf, though he does. Something like him should be running free, probably eating things like him, not cooped up in a metal ship with stale air.]
Your ship has separate bunk rooms? Fancy of you.

[personal profile] ecclesiophobic 2016-03-21 08:38 am (UTC)(link)
[He's familiar enough with animals to know that he's starting to aggravate the massive wolf. Though it is legitimately tempting to see how far he can take it before provoking violence, he has just been reunited with someone long-dead from his world. Also because apparently the wolf knows exactly where he is.]

Could. That's up to them, I don't really care so long as I have a place to sleep that's not freezing. [Because despite being covered in fur, he's a baby about being cold. Possibly because said fur is about the length of a chihuahua's.] Did your shipmates do that purely for your benefit, or their own?

You sound like you're reciting a party line. Personally, I'm much fonder of the rather large kitchen on mine.

[There's an implosion of brimstone and sulfur from where he was, and an explosion of same above a near doorway. In the middle of the latter stands his stalker in decent lighting, as though gravity means nothing to him.] You are as massive as you looked from there. Careful that someone doesn't mistake you for a fairy tale monster.

[That was not the reaction Kurt had been expecting. He was prepared to dodge some kind of angry outburst, not be faced with a sudden wave of nostalgia. Victor Creed had laughed like that, whole-body with his mouth open to show every tooth.

Kurt raises an eyebrow, the spade of his tail twitching in the air.]
Care to enlighten me as to what you find so amusing?

[personal profile] ecclesiophobic 2016-03-21 10:01 am (UTC)(link)
The hell you are.

[His tone doesn't match the conviction of his words, pieces already starting to fall into place. He'd mentioned fables as though it were a race instead of a genre, and the wolf of the stories was, among other things, supposed to be the quintessential hunter. Something like that could theoretically know and remember the scents of all their people. Most importantly, Kurt's been to worlds where purported gods walked among men.]
