[boy oh boy, isn't everyone just so excited to explore this... charming... place...?

this is a game-wide mingle and the timeframe isn't super-important, so throw in with whatever you want! play war games, go shopping for gas masks, get lost in the wilderness, hide up in the Iskaulit and refuse to set foot on the moon, anything goes.

here's the main event info post for reference! have fun!]

Yeah? You should give a shot. Unless you're too busy picking leaves and scooping up dirt the whole time you're here.

[He's teasing. Mostly.

Though he grins brightly at the idea of Kirk in the mud pit. Because, yeah he knows exactly what he's talking about. He....spent a little time there himself. Though it didn't end with smacking eachother with foam bats. Those had been tossed aside pretty quickly. Needless to say it had been a bit of a cycle...]

Fun as hell, wasn't it? [Sorry. He's a violent creature, it's in his nature when his job is to torture and assassinate people.]

Heh, maybe I will. But business first, then the fun.

[ Oh well lucky you, FDR. The guy who had called him out had not been to his particular tastes when it came to that sort of thing, thank you. But god, he should really call Remy to cleanse the palette or something. Ugh. ]

Eh, watching him go down by the third time kind of was. He was being an ass and he deserves that bruise and not to be able to sit down a week.

[ He had gone down the first time because he had wanted to avoid the whole thing. But once had been enough and the look on that guy's face - oh, he was taking him down one way or the other. The guy had been little more than a bruiser, so outclassing him hadn't been hard. ]

[personal profile] bigvessel 2016-03-28 03:39 pm (UTC)(link)
...With a foam bat you hit him in the ass hard enough to bruise and ache that bad huh? What did you rape him with it?

[And he rolls his eyes at Kirk before he's starting to walk again, because staying still and shooting the shit just isn't going to keep him occupied for very much longer.]
universal_charm: (Laughing Smile)

[personal profile] universal_charm 2016-03-29 03:01 am (UTC)(link)
[ He gives him a sharp look at the last bit, not finding that quite as funny as FDR seemed to think it might be. But the look disappeared as quickly as it was there and instead he laughed. ]

Not quite. I kicked him in the ass - literally. No one said I had to use the bat to win.

[ He follows him, glad for the opportunity for motion. He wasn't one for sitting still either, a habit that often drove Spock and Leonard insane. ]

I was thinking of maybe trying out to the obstacle course for kicks - see what time I got.

[personal profile] bigvessel 2016-03-30 02:16 pm (UTC)(link)
[Just a roll of his eyes, Kirk. Get the foam bat out of your ass pls.]

I think it's pretty heavily implied. [just. saying.

But apparently he's gained a friend for the trip and really he can't be all that bothered by it. But his brow quirks up at the idea of an obstacle course.]
I must have missed that one.
universal_charm: (Anticipating Smile)

[personal profile] universal_charm 2016-03-31 03:33 am (UTC)(link)
[ Some questions are not appropriate, FDR. For shame. ]

Heavily implied and explicitly stated are two very different things.

[ And he's very not above exploiting such loopholes. ]

It's tucked a little back. I guess it's not as popular.

[ He glanced at FDR slyly out of the corner of his eye. ]

You interested in trying it out?
bigvessel: (pic#8073062)

[personal profile] bigvessel 2016-04-04 03:28 am (UTC)(link)
...Are you asking me to run an obstacle course with you? What, you think I'm the kind of guy that's just going to jump on some challenge? [he totally is, he's just trying to sound tough here.]

...Yeah fine. But. You do know that you're Captain Kirk and I just drive a boat, right? [...damn his cover story.]
universal_charm: (Don't Bullshit Me)

[personal profile] universal_charm 2016-04-04 03:32 am (UTC)(link)
I think you're the type to jump at any challenge.

[ He smirked at him (hidden by his mask, but he still is), and then raised a brow at him, because really FDR? ]

You're also the captain of a boat who's apparently pretty damn good at paint ball. So I'm sure an obstacle course will be no trouble.

If you're trying to trick me into going easy on you, you're going to have to try harder than that.
bigvessel: (pic#8637541)

[personal profile] bigvessel 2016-04-05 04:34 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, and how do you know how good I am at paintball? [Geez, facetwin, like that's not creepy enough. Now you're spying on him too?] And one is hardly the same as the other. that's like saying because I'm good at lazer tag I'd make a good cop.

[Still. Kirk is right about one thing. He likes a challenge.]

Lead the way, man.
universal_charm: (Default)

[personal profile] universal_charm 2016-04-08 04:26 am (UTC)(link)

You don't seem the type to do things you aren't particularly good at that involve an audience. And lazer tag is training to be a spy, everyone knows that.

[ It was an observation, but one he had felt accurate. Not that he could blame him - looking the fool was never fun for anyone and he would reluctant to do the same. And is he serious about the lazer tag? Who knows. ]

Sure you won't be to tired from our little hike?

[ His tone is one of friendly ribbing as he changes direction to head back to down. ]

bigvessel: (pic#8073051)

[personal profile] bigvessel 2016-04-08 03:44 pm (UTC)(link)
So what you're saying is you think I'm a vain bastard that's scared to look like a fool? [He snorts. There's...at least most truth to that. If it's his job, it doesn't really matter in the end, how foolish he looks, but he is certainly not a fan of humility.

And his brow twitches at the spy comment, but he doesn't even touch that.]

I think I'll manage. [And he turns back around to follow Kirk, because a little friendly challenge? Well. He's always down.]
universal_charm: (Default)

[personal profile] universal_charm 2016-04-08 03:57 pm (UTC)(link)

Something like that.

[ He chuckles, but his assumption was based on the notion that most people don't choose to do things for fun they're bad at for fun.

It didn't take them long to get back to the town and Kirk lead them towards the obstacle course. It wasn't in use at the moment, and thus didn't have much of a crowd, but that was fine with him. ]

Right - once around or twice?

bigvessel: (pic#8422462)

[personal profile] bigvessel 2016-04-09 04:02 am (UTC)(link)
[FDR quirks a brow at the question before he looks back at the obstacle course. It looks like something they expect you to run in boot camp, or cop training course. It's doable. But...damn so much for keeping his clothes clean.]

I think once is probably plenty.
universal_charm: (Default)

[personal profile] universal_charm 2016-04-09 04:17 am (UTC)(link)

[ He nodded, shrugging out of his jacket and slipping his mask into it, setting it aside. At least he could save one piece of clothing from this, but the surge of adrenaline from a challenge was worth it. He stretched his arms, making his way down to the start line. ]

Once around, and no shoving each other off the high places. Sound good?

[ He eyed up the obstacle course, particularly a wall climb about three obstacles down before turning an excited grin on FDR. ]

Count of three. One - two - three!

bigvessel: (pic#8637056)

[personal profile] bigvessel 2016-04-13 03:40 am (UTC)(link)
[He arches a brow at Kirk, not making any promises about these particular rules. He's a CIA man, he uses what advantages he finds. Heights certainly count as one.

But. Fine. He'll play...mostly clean.

So Kirk is counting and FDR is moving with him. He knows he should hold back, he should let Kirk get the lead. He should pretend to struggle with the first obstacle which seems to be some sort of freaking jumping puzzle, pads of different shapes and heights, some off centered and wobbly. But what FDR doesn't have in brute strength, (Kirk certainly has a little more weight and probably muscle on him), he makes up in agility. His job depends on sleuthing, after all. So...it's uuuh. It's a fun wobbly type of obstacle, and he sure does try to shove Kirk off balance any time he comes close to him.]

[ Speaking to the guy who cheated on the Kobayashi Maru.

And hey, if you're going to play mostly clean, well, he can return in kind.

He hadn't been idle in the past year of his recovery, especially not the last half. He was hardly slow or weak, so it wouldn't be an easy thing to shake him. He eyes the obstacle and bites his lip, choosing his path and making his way up - more difficult than it had first looked because firmness was not a part of this obstacle's structure.

And then FDR was pushing at him.

Rude.

He just grinned through gritted teeth at the other, taking the pushes and not afraid to push the other back as they struggle through it. FDR gets the better of him at the last and he drops down behind him. He doesn't think about that as he surges forward towards the next obstacle - one of those things where you have to hug a cylinder and ride it across a... damn it. A mud pit. ]

Hope you don't skip arm day!

[ His grin widened and he put on a burst of speed for the jump and momentum to ride across. ]
