Ah, it's really a shame, isn't it? The station we were at was so nice, and then we had to leave it to come to a place like this...

[Even her magnificent powers of optimism are hard-pressed to find something nice to say about this particular moon, alas.]

It's all right, and the people are nice enough when they're not fighting, but...

I can't say I'm all too pleased with it, myself.

[ It's gross. And dammit if they have all this technology why can't they go somewhere nice all the time. ]

But upon reading back further to see where this fleet has gone before we arrived, it seems it isn't uncommon to visit just as many unsatisfactory places as we do nice ones.

Really? Oh...I wonder why the fleet chooses the places they choose to stop at. It can't really be just random chance, can it?

It seems to go back and forth between more populated areas and more remote areas.

In some ways, it seems like we are hiding, on and off.

[This is a thought that has legitimately never occurred to her before. Mostly because she doesn't think about the implications of things like that all that often, but still.]

But then...if we're hiding, then there must be something to be hiding...from...

[ She picks up her new mask, inspecting it for any flaws or defects before she takes it up to pay for it. ]

Ah — should I go look for some other ones like that, in different colors? Or maybe a nice scarf to go with it, to cover your hair in the parts that the mask doesn't catch...
