It was, after all, partially his fault he had taken the first hit and gotten tossed into the mud anyways. No way he should get out of this scott free. ]}

Hey! I just brought this mask! [Yet despite the protest there was enough warmth to it that he clearly wasn't that upset, raising a hand to wipe the mud off the mask before it set hard.]

'nd don't flatter yaself too much cher. [Still light, still joking before Remy gave a nod to the ring, mud and all.] Though I gotta say, it does kinda suit ya.

It probably needed to get washed anyways.

_{[ He snorted and clapped at his hands to knock off bits of mud that had dried already. ]}

I think a shower would suit me better right about now. But I'm worried I'll need a hammer to get myself out of these pants.

[Remy was about to grin and make a joke something along the lines of Kirk being able to handle a staff and able to handle some action, when that accusation came out.] Moi? [He quizzed, putting a hand to his chest and a shocked look on his face, although the second was lost thanks to the mask.] What did I do?

_{[ He pointed to the place in question before sighing and rolling his head, cracking his neck and shoulders. ]}

[Reaching out a hand, Remy gentle gripped Kirk's chin between his fingers, moving the other man's head to find said spot that the bruise apparently was on. He let out a 'hmmmm' sound.] By my professional opinion, I think ya'll live. Hell, I've seen ya get slapped harder than that hit.

[Letting go, Remy nodded his head back towards some of the buildings.] Sure there be able to find a place down here for a shower 'nd a drink to numb that glass jaw of ya's.

_{[ He lets Remy tilted his head, knowing nothing was actually wrong with him, but he had been trying to make the other feel a sliver of guilt. Could you blame him for playing it up a bit? He snorted at the slap comment, slapping at Remy's belly with the back of his hand. ]}

Taken to stalking me now, have you? That one night stand was just that good, huh?

_{[ He smirked at him and reached up to slick back his hair, stray strands falling across his brow, heavy from the drying mud. ]}

I don't exactly trust the water situation down here. I was going to head back up to the Fleet. And I know the showers there are big enough for two.

_{[ He looked Remy up and down meaningfully. ]}

Or you could make sure my clothes don't break the washer and dryer. That would really help make it up to me.

[It might had worked, trying to instill that feeling of guilt, if Remy wasn't one for dramatics as well. Hell, it was fun at times, as long as the other person knew it was all an act. He did however let out a laugh at the hit to his stomach before dropping his hand.] Ya just lucky ya so pretty, cheri, or would had just dumped ya 'nd ran. [The smirk that went with it sadly hidden behind his mask.

Nor was the raised brow at Kirk's two suggestions, so Remy raised his hands as if he was using them as scales, balance out the two options.] Fun 'nd games, versus work. I wonder which one 'll pick.

_{[ He smirked behind his own, crossing his arms over his chest as Remy weighed the options. He honestly didn't care which one he chose, he was going to take a shower regardless. But company and help would be appreciated. He didn't trust the shower to get all of this muck off anyways, and he had serious doubts about the washer. He really did not want to be the cause of a breakdown of an item on the ship. Engineers were not supposed to break things. ]}

It's an agonizing decision, I know.

_{[ He rolled his eyes before turning to start heading towards the shuttles, waving over his shoulder. ]}

Better make it quick, or I'm leaving without you!

[Like there really was a choice in this. Quickly catching up to Kirk, Remy matched his pace to keep up with the other man.] Ok then, lets get ya there before we gotta chisel ya out of those, or ya go completely stiff 'nd I gotta carry ya back.

And we both know how much you would just hate having to carry me or get me out of my pants.

_{[ He smirked, heading for the place where the shuttles landed to drop them off. ]}

Oh, I know, it's just the worse. [It was said with a heavy tone and equally heavy roll of his hidden eyes, but was backed up with grin.

And it was never so good to be on the ship than right now, able to pull his mask off with a huff of breath and run a palm over his face and hair to wipe the sweat off that had accumulated from having to be in a mask.] 'm all for gettin' out 'nd 'bout, but this place ain't on the top of m' list to explore.

_{[ Kirk pulled his off too, sucking in a real breath of fresh air and sighing. He set the mask aside, not wanting to get it to much muddier than it already was. He could feel the sweat prickling beneath the drying mud, making him itch. ]}

Yeah, I can understand that. It's never going to be a tourist destination - not at this rate. I'm honestly surprised that the people have stayed, but it makes me think they don't have a real way of leaving. That or someone is giving them some major incentive to stay.

_{[ He slicked back his hair, stretching out his legs with a groan. ]}

You don't happen to do massage, do you?

Yeah, but ya get that on Earth, or 'least the Earth 'm from. People still live in polluted cities, though not this bad, but still get cities where smog levels get so high it ain't safe for those old, young, 'nd sick to go outsides, people wearin' those little medical masks. Guessin' this just be life for them, all they know 'nd use to it.

[As for the question, Remy shot a grin in Kirk's direction.] Funny ya ask, as I actually do. Got a few more aches 'nd pains than ya realized, hein?

That's possibly equally true. It's probably a mix of many of them, honestly. These sorts of things - they're never quite so straight forward I've found. They always end up some tangled mess and you can't take to it like Alexander took the Gordian knot.

_{[ He tilted his head back and grinned at Remy's teasing - or perhaps it was a serious offer? Hard to tell, but regardless he enjoyed such word games. ]}

Turns out getting kicked off a platform into mud does a number on a body.

Does it now? Well, ain't goin' to be able to do 'ny sort of massage if ya stuck as a statue, [There was a 'too stiff' joke in there somewhere, but Remy held his tongue from saying it.] Better clean that mud off first.

_{[ He knew the joke was there, and he can't tell if he's grateful he held back on it or if he's disappointed the other didn't go for it. Maybe he'd laugh so hard that he'd crack off some of this mud. ]}

_{[ He turned his head to watch as the shuttle went in to dock. He stood when it was completed, looking to Remy with a knowing smirk. ]}

Shower, massage, and food. Think you can handle all that?

[Oh Kirk, stop setting up jokes like that, it was getting hard to resist.] When ya say it like that makes ya it sound like work, or a challenge, not sure which one I prefer.

_{[ No, never. This is part of their game, isn't it Remy? How long can you resist? He gets points when you finally cave. ]}

Well, either way, you get a reward at the end if you do it right.

[That caused Remy to let out a loud laugh, it eventually trailing off into a chuckle as he grinned over at Kirk.] Now that, that be a great line. Ya should be real proud of it. [Not that there had been a doubt that Remy would 'help out' in the first place, but with how well James' had delivered that line, it really won Remy over. He was so glad he had approached Kirk at the club that day with how this was turning out.

Taking of such night.] Oh, [Holding up a finger to indicate for him to wait, Remy unzipped his coat to search around in one of the secret pockets he had sewn into the coat. Pulling his hand back out he produced a tightly folded up piece of black material.]

I do owe ya since I destroyed the last one.

_{[ He really was, but he just looks smug like he pulls them out all the time. Except sometimes he gets gems like that one and he savors the victory and the compliment from his friend. And truth be told he was glad Remy had approached him too. He liked having a friend like Remy, someone to relax around, that he could flirt with and tease and find physicality in.

There is a moment's confusion as he takes the piece of cloth, not sure what it is, but once he begins to unfold it he laughs. ]}

Sure this isn't just so you can destroy another without feeling guilty?

_{[ But he's setting it aside and working out of his current shirt, the mud cracking and flaking off him as he does so, reaching to pull on the new one. ]}

Hey, it ain't fair me goin' 'round destroyin' stuff I ain't prepared to replace, that just leave me as the bad guy in this all. [Remy raised a brow as he took the moment to just appreciate that sight, unabashed in his gaze upon Jim's form, yet as he had started to pull on the new shirt, Remy held up a hand.] Hold on, ain't goin' to need that in the shower now, are ya?

_{[ He paused, the shirt halfway up his arms, but not over his head. He considered Remy for a moment, trying to keep a straight, skeptical face, but he failed miserably. He broke and laughed, sliding the shirt back off and folding it up, holding it back out to Remy. ]}

Keep that safe then - til after I've showered. My pockets are full of mud.
