this is a game-wide mingle and the timeframe isn't super-important, so throw in with whatever you want! play war games, go shopping for gas masks, get lost in the wilderness, hide up in the Iskaulit and refuse to set foot on the moon, anything goes.

Thought so. [Shame he hasn't seen anything with real trick flying, but they seem pretty landbound here.] We should check those out, then.

The guns here are all air rifles and popguns or paintball or something else, anyway. Principle's the same as a blaster, though. [He flashes Poe a grin; that's what Poe had said about the weapons on the TIE fighter, after all.]

[Finn smiles and looks down for a moment.] You say that like everyone in the Resistance isn't brave.

[But that gets him to laugh.] One heavy-duty one for exploring outside the city, one that won't get caught on anything in a game, and one to look good with.

None of the rest of us made the call to leave behind everything we knew. You risked a lot.

[He's finished too, so he tosses the dishes into the sanitizer and leads Poe over to the sleeping quarters. As mentioned it's one big barracks, but he has enough space to keep his personal items in a trunk. He grabs the black leather mask with gold filigree detailing on it and holds up two for Poe: a bird mask or a translucent but heavy-duty-looking one.]

[Well, he can't resist it. He goes for the fancier mask. He likes things kind of flashy.]

[Finn sets the translucent one down and grabs the other for himself.]

We can shop for one for you, too. You should have enough money for the basic ones, anyway.

[He grins and reaches over to squeeze Poe's shoulder.]

You can show me the rope on the money. [He doesn't even know how to check on his balance yet.

Aw, he claps Finn on the arm.]

I bet you landed on your feet. But you know I've got your back, every time.

It's not too hard. [It can't be, if he figured it out. Finn's never had to actually use money before in his life. In fact, he'll give Poe the basics on the shuttle ride to the moon.]

People have been pretty helpful. Lot of different places, different times, but it seems like a good bunch.

[Yeah, he's fine with money once he knows where to look. The amount in his account seems very small, but he's just starting. He'll have to be careful, is all.]

What I've found so far too. Not a bad crew to be stuck in a weird situation with, huh. Everyone's just trying to do the best they can.

[Not having to blow it all on a mask right away should help, too. This way they can get right to exploring, and Finn narrates his discoveries so far as they head into the spaceport.]

What are you thinking we might want to stock up on? [Chemicals sounds kind of... nebulous. He's not an engineer or anything. He can do emergency repairs on an X-wing with luck and the right tools, but that's really where his expertise outside of piloting begins and ends.]

At least the food on the ships is already good. Sounds like you've really got the lay of this place already.

[He shrugs.] Anything on the list the captain or engineers give me, I guess. [Finn is assuming they have a list. It might not be a correct assumption.]

Yeah, I was afraid it was going to be a lot worse. [Though there are some "restaurants" on the moon. Finn isn't quite sure how they work, so maybe Poe can show him.]

It's not too bad, figuring it all out. The ships are pretty small, and you don't have to go anywhere else if you don't want.

Ah, gotcha. Your captain's pretty organized. They going to pay you back for the money you spend though?

I better try to hang out with my crew some later. Get to know them. They seem like a decent bunch at first glance though.

...Look. I gotta be straight with you, Poe. I've never actually had to deal with money before, okay? So I'm probably doing it wrong.

Don't see why they'd bother anyone, but... [Shrug. He's a pilot. He's used to that kind of thing too. Guess other people aren't.]

Sure, we can do like basics number one while we're shopping around. I kind of need to get a feel for how much the credits here are worth anyway, 'cause they might not be the same as what we have back home.

Lot of people aren't used to the way things work on other planets, I guess. [He shrugs. Except for picking up supplies, it doesn't really matter to him whether the Captain wants to spend time on the ship or not.]

I know it depends on what you're buying, like some people were mad at how much food costs cause they have to import a lot of it. But--even some idea would be better than nothing.

Yeah, I've got to kind of remind myself... I guess there are a lot of people that don't even have in-system ships, let alone interstellar. It's a weird thought.

That kind of thing would be a factor, so we'll have to compare things a little bit at the next stop too. But you should still be able to tell if someone is trying to scam you.

Right? Can you think about how it would be to be trapped on a moon like this and have no way to get off? [Finn shudders. Sure, there are plenty of races or cultures that more or less stick to one planet, but they at least have options.]
