[Which is an admission that yes, he was hunting just for the act of it. An old habit, borne of necessity from when he did hunt for food. And now carried forward in his need to get out and do something, anything.

He crosses his arms, looking in the direction the rabbit fled.]

Good. What're you doing going around killin' animals for sport anyway?

[grandstanding]

[It's a good question. He doesn't, strictly speaking, need to go all the way with hunting. So he spreads one hand in acquiescence.]

Force of habit. I have had to hunt for food before. [The sense of purpose, however illusory, was something he wanted.] I was also interested to see what could be living on a moon in such dire shape.

So you were gonna dissect it?

[grandstanding]

[That makes him stiffen slightly, riled. Dissection is something that repels him on a personal level.]

No. I don't do that.

[mistyday]

[Ironically, seeing him stiffen relaxes her. Considering her personal Hell is quite literally trapped in a loop of dissection and resurrection, she feels similarly repulsed. She moves closer, stepping lightly even in her boots.]

That's good, because I don't take with that. Never again.

[grandstanding]

[He's been subject to it himself, and doesn't want anything to do with it. He watches her move closer, appraising. The conversation is twisting in unexpected ways.]

You don't need to concern yourself with me as far as that goes.

But maybe I should worry about other things.

[She tilts her head, studying him without blinking.]

You got some sort of power in you, but it ain't magic. Not like mine anyway.

[grandstanding]

[It's a bit eerie, but he doesn't let any concern show.]

No. My power comes from what I am. A mutant.

You're like Kitty then. And Remy.

[And that's when things click together. Dissection. Musta been what people did to them, instead of burnings at the stake.]

I've met Kitty here; I don't know Remy. Most of the mutants here aren't ones I had met before this place. [Of course, many of them know him.] It's a wide world, after all.

Guess so. Seems to me a lot more people here know each other than they should though.

[grandstanding]

Adds to the artificial drama, I imagine. [If it's true. Which it likely isn't.]

[She shrugs.]

[In all honesty, she doesn't care if the tv show thing is or isn't real. Doesn't change much for her. She's much more interested in him. She tilts her chin in his direction, eyebrows raised.]

I control magnetic fields and metal. [Not something that typically gives him a lot of power in the woods, save what items he keeps on him. Drawing a screw out of his pocket, he sends it floating up into the air a few inches.]

Kinda like telekinesis then? Only just with metal?
