[boy oh boy, isn't everyone just so excited to explore this... charming... place...?

this is a game-wide mingle and the timeframe isn't super-important, so throw in with whatever you want! play war games, go shopping for gas masks, get lost in the wilderness, hide up in the Iskaulit and refuse to set foot on the moon, anything goes.

The infinite comes in different sizes. [Did Leto see this? He thinks not all of it. He's still managed to surprise or annoy him a bit at times. He reads him keenly.]

It varies. Sometimes the path is narrow or it is wide. Ultimately, we all go through the crucible.

It's a mathematical truth, like all the best sorts of truth. [The only ones he really likes, when he comes to it. Though there's still an art to breaking those truths in a useful way.]

[ He chuckles. ]

Never have I heard a term such as "best" for a truth.

If you think there is only one grade of truth, that might be much of your troubles there.

Grade sounds far too much of schools and rules and things I never had much patience for.

However you like to call your hierarchies of truth.

Rules were made to be broken. But schools have their uses... at times.

[ He watches Loki. He seems to do that a lot. So like the one he knew, and so unlike. He vaguely knew of the darker one, who destroyed the only hope Loki ever had. And still, Loki had won. Or lost.

[ Leto is not so open that he'll tell everything automatically. ]

True, you are allowed to do so. The rules have not yet shifted to preclude that.

[ Leto snorts delicately at the word "rules". There are none, obviously and that could not be any clearer. What remains to be seen is whether he wants to play the game. He shifts on his feet, feeling the ground tilt. He still has his cards, but Leto is loathe to play those that lend him too much power. He is not among his subjects here.

It seems, he realized, he has forgotten much of the heart. ]

Then you should seek it out.

[ And seek it elsewhere, but that goes without saying. They may connect and tease, but neither will commit to more. ]

[Loki laughs softly and draws away, turns to go. He feels he's come out of this round very well. If he thinks of it in terms of a game, he can avoid admitting the real emotional intimacy to himself.

[ He watches him go, silent. Even the voices inward seem to hold their breath. This had evolved beyond a mere game. Loki may not admit, but actions speak boldly. The lightest speaks of the highest temptation.

Should he let this continue? Leto keeps asking himself this, but there are no answers. There is no one to guide him. There's no one left to lean on. His hand goes to his neck, where his neck hangs hidden, squeezing the Ruby key.

What would Loki tell him now? You have the right to be happy, most likely. He knows this. He has learned it in the bonds of his team.

It was Loki's decision now. Leto's was made long ago. ]
