Takeshi turns around in a circle, looking for the sound of the voice. Once he's more than aware that the voice isn't from ground level, he's already quick to focus keenly on the treetops.]

Gojira's too big! They're gonna get their foot stuck!

What're we gonna do?!

[Yeah no you're involved in this now, sorry 'bout it.]

[Of course he is. Thankfully he's not terribly rusty at interacting with small children; it's been a while since his nephew was this boy's age, but not all that long ago (yes it was, he's just in denial.)]

We can't let Gojira get their foot stuck. If they can't move, the aliens will surround and overpower it. We'll have to make certain it watches its step while it fights them! What else can it do besides breathe fire?

[throwsdown]

[He listens closely; the voice is -- ah! In this direction!

He steps a bit closer, action figures in his hands.]

It can breathe the bad air here...

And it's really good at stomping things down! Buildings, even...! And it's got a super-sonic roar!

[Kurt leans back further into the shadow, trying to avoid the inevitability of showing himself. If he does it right, perhaps he won't give the boy a fright. He seems a sweet child.]

That's an impressive list of abilities. Now this roar of Gojira's, can it knock things down out of the sky? The ships are usually where the aliens keep the big guns, the ones that might actually hurt Gojira. If it can destroy the ships, the alien's firepower will be crippled.

Gojira's roar works much better when they got back-up down here on the ground!

The laugh Kurt's holding back colors his voice when he calls down:] Ah, but what if that back-up has a terrifying face? We don't need Gojira running because he's caught a fright.

[He pauses, trying to digest that information. Is he really worried about scaring a big radioactive lizard with his face...? Because that's kind of really sad. And Takeshi's pretty sure Gojira wouldn't care what he looks like! Gojira would be way more concerned with how tall they are! and since they're not above the trees, Takeshi can only assume--

... Wait. Are they worried about coming out, even outside of make-pretend?]

I bet you're not that scary! I met aliens with big black teeth and no eyes before who likes to try and eat your brains! Now that's scary! I bet you look fine! Gojira won't care!

[What the hell kind of life has this child lived? Part of Kurt wants to believe that the boy just has parents who don't care what he watches, but given his own life he finds that unlikely.

Sweet child still, though. After a moment of consideration he nods to himself.] Alright. Stay still, kinder.

[Kurt vanishes in a soft implosion of air, reappearing on the ground a good six feet away from Takeshi in a cloud of purple smoke. It's a good thing they're both wearing gas masks, because said cloud practically reeks of sulfur and brimstone. Kurt dips into a showy bow, his spade-tipped tail swaying in the air behind him.] Tada.

[Takeshi blinks at him, momentarily silenced by the magic, perhaps even uneasy — because Kurt is clearly not a normal human, and Takeshi is always wary of anything alien in appearance after fighting nearly to the death so many times back home.

But the moment's over, and he claps enthusiastically with a small smile.

It's okay; if he does anything, Takeshi'll shoot him!]
