[boy oh boy, isn't everyone just so excited to explore this... charming... place...?

this is a game-wide mingle and the timeframe isn't super-important, so throw in with whatever you want! play war games, go shopping for gas masks, get lost in the wilderness, hide up in the Iskaulit and refuse to set foot on the moon, anything goes.

here's the main event info post for reference! have fun!]

[ Weirder if he knew why one has a griffin painted on the top of it's head while the other has a small yellow sun on the other. Hawke doesn't acknowledge it, or the droids themselves really, focused more on the man in front of her rather then beeping machines, skittering around to do their duties.

She likes to think herself able to read people pretty well, or at least get a good gauge of them, and this one? Well... he kinda looks like he needs to punch something, the sort of look that sings familiar, threatens to strike a familiar cord if she thinks too hard. So she doesn't refuses, suppresses the thought until the fades into the depths of her mind, instead her grins widens with something sympathetic uncaring to the sharp pain it causes. The blood that bubbles to the surface. ]

There are others, new is the less insulting of them. Allows you keep at least some dignity until you inevitability lose it in sort of embarrassing bet. [ Or getting lost in the forest with nothing but a oddly intelligent wolf to lead you out. ]

They give you the welcome speech yet? Explained all the fun details about our fun overlords and their shiny new toys. [ A beat. ] Namely us.

[ He... no, he doesn't have a clue. But at the same time, he's not really looking all that hard. Still, they don't look too out of place amongst the chrome and technology of the city he just wandered through. Mostly, he sort of wants to know why they're here. If they're with her or if they've come from the city at large. Not that he's going to ask, but he'll just carry on silently wondering.

More importantly than that, he at least knows when he's being read. Which- is everyone here set on trying to pull him apart like a storybook at first glance? Back home, it's a fact that nearly nobody looks too long and avoids eye contact at all costs. They leave him be but expect him to provide at the same time - he's gotten used to it. But this? The weird amount of attention, he doesn't expect. Maybe from Sam but truly no one else. And most of all, he'd really like to know what appearance he's giving off when he'd rather not give one at all.
]

Good thing I wasn't planning on bargaining what's left of that for a few bucks. [ That.. is at least mostly true. It's not like he's hustled pool or played cards in eons. But god, what he would do for some whiskey. ]

Thinking I got as much of information out of everyone as i'm gonna get, though. Dunno if I got it all, but, hey- [ He cants his head a little bit, something akin to a stifled shrug. Conversation is hard okay, he sort of sucks ass at this. ] My favorite part's the brain implant bullshit.

[ It is a look she has seen a few times over the years, particularly in her brother before she was forced to let him go - but she isn't thinking about that, isn't thinking about him. Her darling baby brother, always grumpy living in her shadow and arguing with her every chance he got. Off with the Warden's now, all because she refused to let him die from the Blight. Funny how it didn't really save him, only prolonged the inevitable.

Inhale, exhale, she pushes it down with nary but a short laugh, a smile, and ignoring that bitter feeling threatening to well up in her gut. A bad habit of Hawke's, only unlikely to ever truly change. ]

You'll find something better to bet on, I'm sure. I hear this moon is big on it's aggressive sports, they way of stopping random bar brawls or something.

[ She'll certainly be sad when they leave. ]

That is a strong one, the forced kidnapping for some sort of reality tv show is also a good one. [ Without thinking she reaches up to brush her fingers across the skin where her implant lays. ] Do yourself a favor and don't try to cut it out. It isn't pleasant when you try.

[ Oh yeah, that he is already becoming far more familiar with, the more time he willingly spends out there. After a rousing game of paintball, he can fairly adequately say this place has got it goin' when it comes to entertainment value. Except.. maybe they really shouldn't be encouraging Dean's violent tendencies. It might be better for everyone involved, but pent up aggression is something Dean knows in spades. And something is more than willing to dole out, with or without anyone else's permission. ]

Nothing can stop a good bar fight.

[ But he still manages to look somehow displeased at the idea that he's supposed to leave the augment alone. Not that he doesn't trust everyone at their word, but he really doesn't trust anyone at their word. Though, if Cas had been willing to talk about it that would have been a different thing entirely. But even so, every time he thinks about it, he can't help but want to dig in. ] I've heard that a few times already.

[ Oh, she thinks she likes him seemingly grumpy tendencies aside. Anyone able to appreciate a bar fight, the violence of them, the sheer amount of fun of them, is pretty good in her books. A shame they aren't able to fully engage in one on this moon, though the fist fights are close enough. Mostly. ]

You'd be surprised with these people. They do have something of a fist fighting ring, though they tend frown at such things as simple punch to the throat or anything below the belt. Shame really.

[ The displeased look doesn't surprise her, no one likes having weird objects implanted within their skin without their knowledge or consent. Naturally most want it out and try to get it out, par for the course really. She shifts her weight, expression going hard for all of a second. ] My suggestion? Listen. There aren't enough words to express how painful and uncomfortable trying is, I'd liken to forcefully throwing up all your organs but that doesn't come close.

[ So she may have tried, once, but who doesn't? ]

[ As if he cares whether or not they're supposed to be engaging in bad shit on the moon. Granted, he didn't carry out his fight with Sam but that was in part due to the fact that he wouldn't have hit back, and where's the release in that? Where's the pummelling that he's so desperately looking for right now? ]

Only way to fight is below the belt. With or without their permission.

[ But he still isn't inclined to listen, giving something that could almost be described as a shrug. He doesn't really want to - every time someone brings this up, there's an itch that crawls beneath his skin, the temptation to go tearing at something that isn't supposed to be there. One day, one day... not to mention, he somehow figures he's endured a lot worse. ]

Could be worse.. but i'll keep it in mind.

[ No, he probably won't. ]

I couldn't agree more! [ She shouldn't really be considering going hunting for perhaps unsanctioned fights now, nor roping this man she has only just met and barely knows along with her. ] Where is the fun in fighting fair?

[ Just thinking about it makes her skin crawl, her stomach twist. Never again. Preferable to live with the uncomfortable pressure of the implant underneath her skin than what you get for trying to take it out. Never again, never again. She exhales, shifting her weight, before a easy grin returns to her lips. ]

Of course you will.

[ Somehow she doubts it, but that's about normal. ]

Name is Hawke, by the way. Has anyone bothered to welcome you on board?
