[Because she can always phase herself and once the paint balls are free of the gun they'll solidify, ready to hit anyone in their path. It's almost too easy. It makes you wonder why she's a close range fighter instead of a projectile weapon fighter.]

No worries, Kitty. I'm not in the habit of using people shields. [ guns aren't her thing, ordinarily. but it doesn't feel foreign in her hands. she eases her palm against the grip, and (for the time) keeps her finger off the trigger. it doesn't matter if it's merely paint; discipline must be maintained. ]
