first one to make that doctor who joke loses

Who: Everyone! All of you!
Broadcast: Maybe!
Action: Definitely!
When: Anytime during the toxic moon event!

[boy oh boy, isn't everyone just so excited to explore this... charming... place...?

this is a game-wide mingle and the timeframe isn't super-important, so throw in with whatever you want! play war games, go shopping for gas masks, get lost in the wilderness, hide up in the Iskaulit and refuse to set foot on the moon, anything goes.

here's the main event info post for reference! have fun!]

If I had to guess, I'd say a little of column a, a little of column b. Because they gave some pretty handsome payouts to ships that kept their gumballs intact- though not all of them did, so it couldn't have drained their coffers that much. I'm sure the audience was getting bored, though. They like things to be fresh and new.

Yeah. I wonder how interesting hauling gumballs was for them. Maybe we should worry about what they find entertaining. [She's not worried about them.]

Because they tend to have some pretty screwed-up views of what's entertainment, right? I mean, you haven't even been here all that long and you've likely noticed that. Makes me wonder if all they know of humans IS from reality shows... kinda like that one movie where the aliens watched a sci-fi TV series and mistook it for "historical documents".

I don't think I know that movie, but I guess I could see that. I don't know why they'd get just our reality shows if they were picking up on broadcasts. There weren't even many reality shows. [At the time civilization collapsed for her that is.]

We must come from slightly different Earths, then, because there were a TON where I come from. Even one about people who make duck decoys for a living.

Oh... People watch that?

[She shakes her head as if that will make it make more sense.] I'm sure we did or at least different times. [She doubts anyone was still writing novels.] Did your world have mutants?

It's pretty popular, yeah. They've got a whole line of books and tshirts and everything. [He then shook his head.] Just in fiction, not for real. As far as I know, anyway. I'd still love to find evidence of them.

Well, if there are t-shirts...

Do I want to know what your fictional mutants are like?

A lot like some of the people who've shown up here, actually. The comics and stories from my world have superhero teams, and, well, I'm a huge Star Wars fan. Some of the characters from that have shown up in the flesh.

[She's surprised for a moment, assuming he was thinking of mutants like two-headed fish or something. But the comic book thing she's heard before. ]

...Teams like the X-Men?
