I think... they tried? And then something happened, something bad. Kylo Ren, the guy kind of in charge of the First Order, killed them all. He's a... whatever the dark version of the jedi are. Sith lord?

A Sith? Really? I didn't think those existed anymore at all.

He started out good and got turned by the supreme leader of the First Order. I think that's what the General said. She doesn't like talking about it too much.

I'd just heard that the Sith were eradicated. Apparently not. [ Hopefully, if or when she gets back to her own time, she'll be able to tell this to Kanan. He should know. ]

I think people assumed the Empire would just... go away, once the Emperor was gone. Drove them back to the rim but didn't keep pursuing.

I just wish it had gone differently.

Well... the way I figure it, as long as there are people still willing to do the right thing, they can't ever truly win.

The titles can be a little daunting. She told me when she was here that she met me once, when she was younger, but I don't remember it. Must not have happened, yet.

She was, for a short time. She wasn't a general that I know of, but that might also be a future thing.

Probably. I guess she was young, when she was here? Though I don't know when she was officially promoted to general. Not until after my parents had both retired, I think.

Older than when I would've met her, but probably not more than 25, I'd imagine.

When did you meet her? What was that like?

Um, I met her here, a few months ago. She arrived about the same time I did. I hadn't met her yet in our world. She was very, well - smart, if a bit impulsive.

Huh. Well, smart, definitely. I guess she grew out of being impulsive. [He grins.] I think that's my job now. In my time at least.
