first one to make that doctor who joke loses

Who: Everyone! All of you!
Broadcast: Maybe!
Action: Definitely!
When: Anytime during the toxic moon event!

[boy oh boy, isn't everyone just so excited to explore this... charming... place...?

this is a game-wide mingle and the timeframe isn't super-important, so throw in with whatever you want! play war games, go shopping for gas masks, get lost in the wilderness, hide up in the Iskaulit and refuse to set foot on the moon, anything goes.

here's the main event info post for reference! have fun!]

Ah, I see. It's not the kind of game you can play well at when you're angry. It's about strategy, and planning your moves well before you make them. Watching your opponent, as well, to see where they are trying to go.

I suppose mind reading would be considered cheating then.

[She says it off-hand, intending for it to be a joke. However, she realizes she may have revealed a side of herself that she's kept more or less suppressed for a large part of her time since arriving in the fleet.]

[The comment catches him off-guard, as he doesn't often think of other people having that kind of ability. It only brings Charles to mind, Emma Frost being long dead now. Leto, too, is a more recent association, one that stiffens his spine a little. His forehead creases a bit as he regards Wanda more closely... and his thoughts turn rather deliberately to the noise of the crowd, the pinched feeling of the mask on his face, the amateur fighting of the pair in the street.]

I would say it's against the spirit of the game. [And then, a bit more pointed.] Having played chess with a telepath, I am used to him honouring that.

[Wanda had gotten visibly more stiff after her accidental little slip of her abilities, however, her acquaintance's reaction seemed relatively tame, and his answer proved even more promising. Wanda relaxes when he mentions knowing, and having played chess with, a telepath.]

You are familiar then? With people who have... certain abilites?
grandstanding: (One-track mind.)

Yes, because I am one. Not with that particular ability, but I've known a couple in my time.

[He's wary still. Mind-reading, as familiar as he's become with it in one personal relationship, still sets him on his guard when it comes to others. His mind isn't somewhere anyone should venture.]

They don't always play nice.

Mindreaders? Or those with "abilities" in general?

[She's still kind of teasing, but, to be fair, he could honestly mean either and he wouldn't be wrong.]

Both. But we're on the subject of the former, aren't we.

We are, but the two tend not to be mutually exclusive.

[Wanda considers her companion for a moment.]

Have I said something to unsettle you?
