That's right, but then somehow you still got the same ones? Which...is weird. At least he did. Super speed, right? Yours were more complicated and I never saw for myself. Well, until today. [Because of the pail and all.] I know there were things called hex bolts.

[That certainly was a new one. Kind of catchy though. She'll file that away for later...]

Yes, he did acquire super speed back home. And I... I suppose I do not have quite as simple a way to describe what I can do either. This...

It seems similar at least? Maybe Kurt would have a better idea. He was with the X-Men before me. Not that it matters too much I guess. You're here and you're you. [She gives her a smile. Different person and not one she knew before, but for the sake of her Erik and Pietro she'd want to have her back if nothing else.]

Yes and no. I have a feeling you're thinking of adorable, punning Kurt who is a little younger than me? My Kurt is older and has a red mark over his eye. They're versions of the same person though.

[Wanda nods, smirks a little at that.]

It seems there are more versions of ourselves out there than I would have ever considered.

There was another Kitty at the last place I was at. It's...something to hang out with yourself. [She smiles and a soft laugh goes with it.]

[Wanda considers this for a moment. So far, she's only heard other person's accounts of other versions of herself. She has yet to actually meet any of them. She can't even begin to imagine what that would feel like. Though, there was a certain appeal to the concept, getting to meet yourself.]

I wonder if I would get along with myself...

[She muses, fairly nonchalant, out loud.]

Based on knowing you for ten minutes and what I heard about you back home I'd say yes. Probably. It's not without being extremely weird though.

Other Kitty and I usually kept some distance. I also ended up called "the older Kitty" a lot so, thanks for that, other me.

[She hesitates looking thoughtful before taking a deeper breath.] I'm not sure exactly how old our Wanda was when she died.

[Yeah, that definitely leaves her stumped. How is she supposed to react to this? To hear that she, or a version of herself, is dead. It's both distancing, but also very intimate. She, herself, this Wanda is alive right here, right now. But another her, another Wanda, is dead? It was a weird thing to wrap her head around.]

I'm sorry. I do better with the truth. It's just that all the truth from home all kind of sucks.

She was still pretty young and Holocaust attacked. [He was called Nemesis back then but that's neither here nor there.] He was one of Apocalypse's horsemen. Ridiculously powerful. She protected a lot of people before he... [She waves her hand.]

[Wanda looks concerned, as she's definitely still processing this news. She had protected others though before she died? That at least added a bit of a silver lining, but it was still hard to just let all this roll off her.]

Holocaust... Apocalypse... I suppose I have an idea of what it must be like for you back home.

It's not a pretty place. The war was started before I even came into my powers. [Though she managed to grow up with some semblance of what passes for normal. It still seemed distant until it was right on top of her.

She watches, Wanda, looking just as concerned as she does. She'd heard about another Kitty dying once, but when her perspective is as a version who died herself it probably softens that blow quite a bit.]

So I- the other wanda, she died then before you even developed your powers?

[Just nodding.] I was the youngest on the team for a long time.

Pietro... he- how did he... he is okay?

[It's hard to put it into words exactly, isn't it? "How did my twin sibling react to my death?"]

It was hard on him. [She only heard about it later of course.] But he's good now. He's a great leader and he's with Ororo. I think they're good together. She has the ability to control the weather. Strong. Beautiful. Also has prematurely white hair.

[A small smile appears on Wanda's face at first; however, when Kitty mentions someone named "Ororo," Wanda looks noticeably surprised.]

He- Pietro and her... they are... dating?

Yeah. He wasn't much of a dater back home?

[Not exactly like there was ever an opportunity for such things.]

He was always flirtatious with women, but I never thought he would be able to... commit... to one woman.

[It does bring a small grin to her face though. To think of Pietro, her twin brother, in a relationship, it was just somewhat funny yet cute.]

Well, it was a little harder to date outside of the X-Men back home, so that probably helped things along.

[Wanda can't help but wonder if that would have held true for them back home, if they were to both stay as part of the Avengers. However, the question was already answered, and Wanda's expression definitely looks pained for a moment before she shakes her head, trying to not bring the mood down any further.]

He is a good X-man then? You said he was a team leader. He is doing a good job then?

[It was odd enough to think of Pietro following orders without question or protest, but even odder to imagine him giving them. Though... then again, perhaps between the two, the later position was one he'd be more comfortable in.]
