[Wanda arrives a few moments later. Unlike Vision though, she is sporting one of the gas masks they give to visitors when she arrives. She looks all too happy to remove it once she's safely inside the building and able to breathe freely. She then looks around for Vision, trying to locate him in the museum.]

[ and katie comes last -- gas mask already shoved down around her neck like some kind of bright pinkish kerchief. vision is the easiest to spot, and she feels a pang of grief when she sees him. then, the young woman with him...?

wow, not quite like wanda from home. younger, certainly. and more clothed. kate's steps slow. ]

Uhm. Hi, guys.

[He waves them both over, looking interested in what might happen from this. If nothing else, it will give him an opportunity to visit with two of his friends and to interact with Kate in person.]

Good afternoon. Kate, this is Wanda; Wanda, Kate.

[Wanda turns to the other girl, providing her a small smile and nod of the head in greeting. At the same time, she's eyeing Kate over, trying to mark any familiarities about her, but nothing that she can immediately pick up. Not at least without trying to read her. However, she knows better than that now, and decides instead to try and get to know this girl the more "traditional" way.]

[ kate is quick to stick out a hand for the shaking. ]

It's a pleasure, Wanda. A genuine honour.

[ there are some secrets she knows she needs to keep -- but she can't lie outright. so she'd rather tell half-truths. ]

[He's not really sure what exactly he's doing here besides providing a buffer between the two of them in case they need it, but he's interested to hear the conversation regardless. The Vision nods and gestures toward the main gallery so they can walk as they talk.]

[Wanda gives a Kate's hand a shake. She did offer, and it'd be rude to ignore it. She then turns to follow Vision into the gallery. She takes a few steps, allowing some time to pass as she eyes various displays.]

So Vision tells me you are a part of the "Young Avengers?"

[ she mouths a quick thank you to vision -- for being their patient chaperon. especially if things get...out of hand. ]

Yep! I take it that's not so common a team in some of the other universes. Vision was telling me about how the Avengers themselves are relatively recent.

[He's not expecting anything to get out of hand, but he supposes one can never tell. Kate's thanks gives him a reason to be here regardless.]

Within the past few years, yes. But Kate's have been around for decades, even so much as to have alternate teams, yes?

So is it possible then that Kate is from our future?

[The question is somewhat directed at Vision, but really it is open for either of them to give an answer.]

Possible. But...unlikely. See, it was just 2016 and -- well, I've been talking to Vision and it seems way more plausible that my world just got things off the ground a lot sooner.

[He nods in accordance.]

It's an alternate parallel, as I understand it. It's fascinating to think about. Why did enhanced individuals rise earlier? Why are there such similarities among the differences?

[He smiles over at Kate.]

And does it mean we can count their members as our friends faster than we otherwise might? I'd be glad of that much, myself.

An alternate parallel... so then, you know us? You knew who we were before you really even met us here in the fleet. Or, you knew versions of Vision and myself. Yes?

The Vision -- a Vision, I guess I should say -- was...kinda on my team, back home. [ probably for the best if she doesn't talk about wanda specifically. ] Just like Clint's a member of yours, right?

[ awkwardly. ] Not that Clint's on my team, exactly...

I admit, I have a strong curiosity regarding other versions of myself, even if the resemblance is only superficial. That you are a Hawkeye with a Vision on your team is simply fascinating to me.

[Wanda nods her head, a bit less enthusiastically than Vision. Not that she didn't share his fascination for learning more about different versions of herself and others from back home, but she's already had a brief taste and it was... hard.]

Yes, there is a Clint Barton, a Hawkeye, back home. Though, it seems our world's Avengers are a much smaller team than the Avengers of others'.

I'll be honest -- even the Vision I knew wasn't the prime Vision. I suppose. It's...complicated.

You'd mentioned something about an earlier model, yes. [He doesn't even try to hide his curiosity at that.] I wonder--would we know ourselves, if we were to meet? You understand, of course, I've never met anyone else like me.

[Wanda side-eyes Vision for a moment. Her thoughts briefly drift to Ultron, but she quickly dismisses the flashes of memory and any comparisons that they provoke. Her own curiosity now becoming apparent.]

What about me? Do you know a Wanda Maximoff from your world?

We've met. [ there is a thin sliver of hesitation. ] Now and then. Honestly, that version of the Scarlet Witch knows Clint better than she knows me. [ ... ] Probably.

[Well, that sounds complicated.]

It gets quite complex with so large a team?

[notmutantbutmiracle]

Clint...

[Wanda thinks on this a moment. She supposed it made sense that he would know her better. After all, back home he had been the first one of the Avengers to show any kind of trust in her, in her abilities and desire to do good with them.]

And you yourself are a "Hawkeye," too... How big exactly are the Avengers where you're from?

[ladybro]

...Huge? [ kate shrugs. she's tried to explain this a few times, and she always feels like she's falling short. ] At least, sorta. There's only ever your principal four-or-five Avengers on the active team, but anyone who's been on it before can sorta consider themselves part a larger club.

[The Vision smiles lightly, remembering Clint's membership card.]

I could easily imagine something like that in our own future. Few operations would require more than five or six of us.
