[ There is little more jarring than being suddenly snatched from your home, dropped into a new potentially highly dangerous universe with a bunch of strangers, going to sleep one night only to wake up a month later in a completely different place than you fell asleep.

Honestly, Cecil has no idea what she's been doing for the last month, but she likes to imagine she went home, even if she can't remember anything. Needless to say though, she's not happy to have been moved and her mood is making her feel pretty anti-social until she can clear her head. The sterile smell lingering on the Marsiva doesn't help much with that though.

It's a good thing Atroma clearly has other plans, right? The network panel nearest to her is broadcasting her little brooding session as she stares out a viewport at the stars, dressed in the red and ivory finery of her kingdom — mantle, crown, and all — completely still and silent, unaware her return is currently being announced regardless of how she feels about it. ]

[so... beautiful! she had seen Cecil on the network before, but never actually spoken to her. But to see someone going through the same thing she went through a month ago, she can't help but want to reach out]

Ah... hello.

[ Again? Cecil turns abruptly and narrows her eyes at the nearest comms board, her glare rather accusatory, but once she gets close to it, her expression changes to one of sincere sheepishness. ]

Yes, hello, my apologies. It seems the communications systems around me are being intentionally fussy today.

There's no need to apologize. I was going to inform you that it was on, but... I'm sorry, it seems like you were already informed.

[she smiles sheepishly, in a 'I feel you' kind of way] Sometimes it seems like these things have a will of their own, doesn't it?

Well, we know our keepers certainly do have a will of their own, so it should come to no surprise that these things happen.

[ She sighs deeply, shuts her eyes, and shakes her head. ]

And yet, like much that happens here, it still catches us off guard.

[:(] If I may intrude and ask... did you leave this fleet and then return?

[ She immediately grows tense again, uncomfortable with the question because after talking with Hange, she's come to find she strongly dislikes thinking about it. ]

I did, yes. Unwillingly. I awoke here suddenly and discovered that an entire month is missing from my memory. I've been told I disappeared.

[she feels deeply for her, so she just comes out with it right away]

The same thing happened to me last month. I understand how the whole process is... unnerving to say the least.

Ah, you must be Nunnally then.

I am.

Have you seen me on the network?

[ She shakes her head. ]

I'm an acquittance of Hange's. She mentioned you were in the same situation as myself.

Ah, I see.

It's... comforting to know that someone else has been through the same thing.Hopefully it means that nothing too bad has happened to us.

[ Oh dear. Cecil genuinely wishes she could agree with that thought process, but she honestly can't, so she simply doesn't comment on it. Instead, she turns to discussing matters that they do have control over. ]

Well, there's nothing that can be done about it for now. We'll just have to accept that it's happened and move on.

[ah, she knows a signal to move on from a topic when she hears one, so she acts upon it]

[...] I'm sorry if this is forward to say, but you're clothing is breathtaking.

[ Ah, right. She'd been distracted from her self-consciousness over her sovereign regalia by the revelation that this was the girl Hange had told her about. When it's pointed out again, she strangely becomes almost shy in response, going so far as to nervously laugh a little and remove the crown from her head. She behaves like someone who isn't used to the wealth, someone who wasn't born to the notion of being royalty. ]

It's fine... As you know, we awake on the Marsiva in our own clothing. I wasn't sure what to do with it so I opted to just keep everything on my person until the Shuffle.

Well, you look beautiful. [she says it in an assured manner, as if there's no doubt :) she sort of understands a bit of that response]

Do you need any other clothes more immediately? We have equipment to beam objects, we could send you some more simple clothing.

Oh... thank you.

[ She's taken by surprise by the girl's continued compliments and her sympathetic offer to help with the matter. ]

I, ah, I wouldn't want to impose on you. I appreciate the offer, but I'll be all right for a while longer. I usually just wear the standard issue jumpsuits they assign us.

It's no imposition, but okay.

Then... I suppose I have no other specific help I can offer. But I... we've been through the same thing, so please feel free to ask me for anything that you need. [when she makes offers like that, people rarely take her seriously.. but she still likes to offer, because she means it]

[ Cecil does believe that she's serious, but she also isn't really sure about what Nunnally could help her with and, as she said, she really doesn't want to trouble the young lady. She's still not used to asking for help, but it's not as difficult as it used to be anymore. Perhaps when she's settled into her new crew, she'll consider it. ]

Well... how have you been coping with it so far? When did you "return"?

I arrived last month, and I've been doing well since then. Most of the people that I knew well were still here when I woke up last month, so that helped immensly.
