It was my birthday on the first of the month, and normally I'd have celebrated it, but having my first birthday here and this planet having deadly air have made me want to come clean about something.

I think I might be dead back home.

I don't know for certain, and I never will know unless someone from back home shows up AND they're from further down my timeline. Which is looking less and less likely the longer I'm here.

I'm not asking anyone else to share if they're in the same boat if they don't want to, but I'm still figuring out how to process it, and like I said, it's been hitting me hard lately. So I had to get it out somewhere.

Ah...yeah. I could see why having a family would make it more difficult to think about.

It does. And I needed to feel like I wasn't alone in this, so I'm glad others are speaking up about it, too. It means a lot.

On the other hand, it is a little "whoa" that there ARE several of us, apparently.

Well, they are bastards alright. I bet they did it on purpose to increase ratings.

On the other hand, I can't deny I'm glad to be out of the situation I was in. [When your other choices are stab wound, mental deterioration, or soul-sucking castle...yeah. Space seems pretty sweet honestly]

No doubt they did. Nothing wins sympathy points like "oh no I'm dead and left my family behind", eh.

You're not the only one I've talked to who's in that situation. So for some of us, it's a second chance, or an escape.

[Poor guy...the frustrating part is that it's true. It probably does earn him some points in the ratings.]

Or a sharp unexpected turn in our paths. As long as I can keep going, I'll take what I can get.

What's coming is going to come, right? And we never know what's going to be in store for us next.

I mean, I'm still going to think about this from time to time, but I can't let it consume me, right?

Yeah, that's right.

It's fine to think about it once and awhile. But it's good to keep moving forward too, wherever our paths may lead.

Because otherwise, I'd lose myself in wondering about the whatifs. My imagination's too big for that to consume me for too long, thankfully. Maybe I'll write all my feelings out in a notebook and be done with it.

Yeah, exactly. Writing is sometimes the best therapy- take it from the writer.
