It was my birthday on the first of the month, and normally I'd have celebrated it, but having my first birthday here and this planet having deadly air have made me want to come clean about something.

I think I might be dead back home.

I don't know for certain, and I never will know unless someone from back home shows up AND they're from further down my timeline. Which is looking less and less likely the longer I'm here.

I'm not asking anyone else to share if they're in the same boat if they don't want to, but I'm still figuring out how to process it, and like I said, it's been hitting me hard lately. So I had to get it out somewhere.

Yeah- I was dying from a disease, but I blacked out before I could find out whether or not I'd gotten a cure. My fiancee was going after the man who had it, but I never saw if she made it or not.

There IS the fact that I woke up on the Marsiva healthy as the day I was born, but that could have been Atroma, too.

I wish I had a better answer for you. But... I had a very similar experience, and it turns out I pulled through. The people who cared about me pulled off a miracle, so I think your fiancee will be able to pull one off for you too.

If anybody can do it, Kate could, believe me. She's the best cop I know. So I have to cling to that, even though there is a lot that could have gone wrong. I know she would have done everything in her power to save me.

Well, when someone loves you that much, you'll be shocked at what they can pull off. I bet you wake up in a hospital bed all confused and she says something brutally sassy.

I can totally picture that happening, too. And then I get to have everyone fawn over me while I recover.
