These masks continue to be a pain in the ass, huh?

But I guess the alternative is being laid up in bed sick — which I don't recommend, in case you're feeling brave, because seeing the people who took off their masks isn't inspiring any faith here. As for me, I'm needing a little break from travelling around down there in all that questionable toxin. Not exactly my cup of coffee, you know? Prefer more open roads, more green and, uh. An ocean I can smell and not go into coughing fits over.

Maybe I'll just spitball some stuff to pass the time while I question what I'm eating from these kitchens? I'm feeling nosy. Call it an acquired skill set, being nosy. Back in the other place I was trapped in, I mostly gathered information about our bestiary; monsters from all kinds of worlds would fall into the world with us, and I did my fair share of fighting some pretty rough creatures. Including the killer rabbits that would try to sabotage my garden. They're small, fast, and aim for the jugular, FYI.

Anyway, pick a number, any number —

2. Favorite thing about the other worlds you've been to? (Least favorite, too, if you're feeling like getting it off your chest? I'm a crappy psychiatrist, fair warning.)

I figure I'm being totally transparent, but I'm a big fan of information gathering. But it's also... actually really nice to be in one place long enough to get to know people. How often do you have the chance to learn about alternate universes? Small pluses.

2. Honestly? I'm not sure there's all that much to say. There were two sides and I was on one, not through choice, until we realised the world was literally ending and we tried to save it. Now we're just trying to stop the war altogether.
3. Do you think they'd do that? Actually, from what I've heard of Atroma, they'd definitely do that. Ugh.
4. I would enjoy that. I always wanted to do some good in the world, and I suppose doing good in other worlds is the same thing.
5. Oh, right! Muggles are non-magical people, have I said that already? It's what people with magic in my world call people that don't have magic.

2. Boy, I sure know how that feels. Trying to stop a war, and the world ending, and all that. I'm sure you'll come through, though. You sound reliable.

4. That's a good trait to have. If you're ever in my neck of the universal woods, I'll keep that in mind if you end up doing the same.
5. I see. Then I'm a muggle? But then, everyone in my world is able to use some magic... sometimes at a steep price. I was taught how to make hexes with the last witch I was... at the time friends with.

2. I appreciate the sentiment. We've been sent back thousands of years in time, so there's a good chance that we'll be able to change things.

5. It's a little more complicated, I think. When magic isn't as strict as it is in my world all the terms become a little meaningless, don't they?

Oh boy, time travel. My favorite. Be sure to bend your knees if you go flying through it; it's easier on the landing.

4. I appreciate that. It'll be a pretty big job, but maybe someone can work on getting evil witchcraft out, good witchcraft in. That'd mean no more selling your soul to Hell, for one. And, you know. learning less lethal spells, for two.
