Who: Sam Winchester
Broadcast: TEXT. Fleetwide.
Action: N/A (but we can if you have an idea, just pm or plurk me!)
When: Today!

These masks continue to be a pain in the ass, huh?

But I guess the alternative is being laid up in bed sick — which I don't recommend, in case you're feeling brave, because seeing the people who took off their masks isn't inspiring any faith here. As for me, I'm needing a little break from travelling around down there in all that questionable toxin. Not exactly my cup of coffee, you know? Prefer more open roads, more green and, uh. An ocean I can smell and not go into coughing fits over.

Maybe I'll just spitball some stuff to pass the time while I question what I'm eating from these kitchens? I'm feeling nosy. Call it an acquired skill set, being nosy. Back in the other place I was trapped in, I mostly gathered information about our bestiary; monsters from all kinds of worlds would fall into the world with us, and I did my fair share of fighting some pretty rough creatures. Including the killer rabbits that would try to sabotage my garden. They're small, fast, and aim for the jugular, FYI.

Anyway, pick a number, any number —

1. Favorite fairy tale, ghost story, or piece of folklore.
2. Favorite thing about the other worlds you've been to? (Least favorite, too, if you're feeling like getting it off your chest? I'm a crappy psychiatrist, fair warning.)
3. Ever run into people who know you from a book, movie, or game? Or, uh... manga?
4. War games — which do you prefer, and why?
5. Magic in your world: real or fiction?

I figure I'm being totally transparent, but I'm a big fan of information gathering. But it's also... actually really nice to be in one place long enough to get to know people. How often do you have the chance to learn about alternate universes? Small pluses.

[A combination of boredom, curiosity, and general loneliness is responsible for Shinji bothering to fill out the survey:]

1. Orihime and Hikoboshi, the star-crossed lovers.
2. The space station was a lot better than this moon we're at now. I can't think of anything I like about the moon. Paintball is the worst.
3. Please tell me this isn't actually a thing that can happen.
4. If I have to choose: board games. If I don't have to choose: nothing.
5. Fiction, but I've seen some inexplicable things.

we have the force its kind of like magic well some people call it that but i think its different than the magic other people here have we cant make it snow or anything but some people who have the force like the jedi can move things around or read peoples minds or they say the emperor could shoot lightning from his fingertips but ive never seen anyone do that so it might just be made up is that like magic from your world or is it not real there

as far as the war games theres this one where you have two people on a speeder one is the driver and one is the gunner and you have to tag all the other teams before anyone hits you me and poe are really good at that one

[Well, for Reasons, Nightingale can't exactly fill out the survey in text, so she's doing it in audio.]

The Tale of Betyl and Sessho; my teammates; I don't know any characters from those things; none of them; real and my main area of study.

1. that's a nerdy question
2. this is cliche but probably the people

1. Ordis has always been fond of the Limbo Theorem, though admittedly it does not end well.
2. The pull of the Void has always interested Ordis, as has the moon. Well, Ordis has difficulty remembering anything positive about the moon, but the golden age technology there seems very interesting. Or did you mean worlds here? Because Ordis is not fond of these masks at all.
3. ...? This question does not make sense.
4. No. Ordis simply answers no.
5. Magic is the thing of tall tales, but there are those that possess Void-given powers, such as Ordis' Operator, that allow them to do remarkable things.

1. Grimm's fairy tales. In original German, if I can get my hands on that. It's hard to pick just one.
2. N/A - if this question is meant for other people who were trapped somewhere else before, too. This is my first. I wonder if that means there's a next for me~?
3. I want to be in a manga. Or a movie. That would be cool.
4. Paintball! Or some other kind of direct combat. Weapons are fun.
5. Real. It's more like... just the tip of the iceberg.
nextlineis: (☆ i shake it off i shake it off)

1. I'm not really into that sort of thing.
2. Haven't been to other worlds other than this one, but I do miss the parts of my family that aren't here a lot.
3. I haven't BUT I know someone who actually knew Superman. How cool is that?
(๑•̀ㅂ•́)و
(Also, what the hell is a manga?)
4. I don't really get why they're so into them down there on the moon. Personally, I've been staying up here in the ships. I got a dog to look after and there's no way in hell I'm going to take her down there.
5. I think that will depend on who you ask. Some people might consider what I do magic, but I don't really look at it that way.
robitussin: (it only hurts when i cry)

1. at least you admit it. what would your answer be?
2. i would have agreed with you if the first planet we got sent to since i've been here shut off our bank accounts and the second one is so polluted that we have to wear gas masks to not die
3. man that's gotta be super weird. how do you deal with it?
4. lol how'd that go for you
5. obvs that's not the first time i've heard that but it's still super weird. are you a wizard or whatever

[Punctuation is for people who have time. Or...something.]

yeah hes a really good pilot and i can shoot things so it works out pretty good be fun to do some small-team tactics but id need four for that guess ill stick to board games for now you can still get some good tactics in there

thats good a lot of people here havent heard of it but a lot of people back home dont believe in it i think its hard if you never see something like that in your life there arent as many jedi as there used to be so do you call it magic then instead of the force
flickerflash: (is this yours)

1. Puss in Boots
2. Everyone lets little kids go everywhere it's quite annoying
3. All the time! I'm very famous
4. war isn't really a game, is it?
5. Fictional. It doesn't exist. Ever. Not even here. All in your imagination.

[Here's the liar, weighing in.]

1. Tale of the Three Brothers, by Beedle the Bard.
2. My family, and the magic there. I hated the war and the rubbish it put us through, but for my friends? It was worth it.
3. ... No?
4. None, if possible, but Wizard's Chess, I suppose.
5. Very, very real.

[ Do it, Sam. She dares you. ]

1. You've read it? I didn't think anyone here knew about it, save a few. But, yes, it was helpful to me for a while?
2. I don't know what I'd do without them. The worst part about being here is missing them, and wondering if I'll see them again.
3. Someone's recognised you before? I suppose there could be a reality where I'm fictional, but I never thought about it.
4. Logic games! War games aren't at all fun compared to those.
5. I've heard about worlds where it doesn't and it just seems wrong somehow. Like that's the fairytale and I'm living in a real world. Maybe that's how people that don't know about magic feel.

1. They can! And the older the version you find, the creepier it can get! It's actually kind of interesting. So what's your favorite tale/ghost story/folklore/etc.?
2. That's a lot... I want to go back home when I get kicked off the air or whatever here, but if this is a trend, I don't want to get my hopes up...
3. Ahh, good point...
4. I always do, and I will! In order. ♥
5. Mm yeah. My town is the only town on Earth where humans and youkai - demons - are live together peacefully. It gets a little wild...

It's a legend from my world, not Earth. That's why you haven't heard it.

It's the story of the first heroes, who slayed the first god.
flickerflash: (eh them's the breaks)

1. They all do! They're just really cleverly disguised as claws.
2. I don't know what you mean :D
4. At the very least, it should be taken very seriously.
5. There's as many of those as there are imaginary enemies. Try not to make any.

3. why can't I write on these things? It's very hard to give a signature if you can't write.

^._.^??

5. Magic is entirely fictional in my world. We have a lot of technology we don't understand that seems like magic, but there's always some sort of scientific explanation behind it.
