Who: Sam Winchester
Broadcast: TEXT. Fleetwide.
Action: N/A (but we can if you have an idea, just pm or plurk me!)
When: Today!
These masks continue to be a pain in the ass, huh?
But I guess the alternative is being laid up in bed sick — which I don't recommend, in case you're feeling brave, because seeing the people who took off their masks isn't inspiring any faith here. As for me, I'm needing a little break from travelling around down there in all that questionable toxin. Not exactly my cup of coffee, you know? Prefer more open roads, more green and, uh. An ocean I can smell and not go into coughing fits over.
Maybe I'll just spitball some stuff to pass the time while I question what I'm eating from these kitchens? I'm feeling nosy. Call it an acquired skill set, being nosy. Back in the other place I was trapped in, I mostly gathered information about our bestiary; monsters from all kinds of worlds would fall into the world with us, and I did my fair share of fighting some pretty rough creatures. Including the killer rabbits that would try to sabotage my garden. They're small, fast, and aim for the jugular, FYI.
Anyway, pick a number, any number —
1. Favorite fairy tale, ghost story, or piece of folklore.
2. Favorite thing about the other worlds you've been to? (Least favorite, too, if you're feeling like getting it off your chest? I'm a crappy psychiatrist, fair warning.)
3. Ever run into people who know you from a book, movie, or game? Or, uh... manga?
4. War games — which do you prefer, and why?
5. Magic in your world: real or fiction?
I figure I'm being totally transparent, but I'm a big fan of information gathering. But it's also... actually really nice to be in one place long enough to get to know people. How often do you have the chance to learn about alternate universes? Small pluses.

Luckily Sam is way nicer than a lot of people aren't, so he just rolls with it.
You do you, buddy.]
Sounds like you two have it in the bag. I don't think I'd do very well with any war games that involve speeding, to be sure.
Believe it or not, I'm familiar with the force. A little. There are things from back home that aren't the same, but similar. We have mind-readers, people who can move things with their minds, things like that. Lightning from fingertips is definitely a possibility back home, depending on who's doing it.
text
yeah hes a really good pilot and i can shoot things so it works out pretty good be fun to do some small-team tactics but id need four for that guess ill stick to board games for now you can still get some good tactics in there
thats good a lot of people here havent heard of it but a lot of people back home dont believe in it i think its hard if you never see something like that in your life there arent as many jedi as there used to be so do you call it magic then instead of the force
text
Wouldn't be surprised if we have the force, just named something else.
Like how humans and most supernatural creatures have souls.
text
can you give me an example like what can they do thats like magic only not cause theres some kinds of people that can see different parts of the spectrum but thats just biology is it like that also i met someone who said she is a mutant is that like an angel or a demon cause they have different powers too but theyre born with them
text
Magic is... a study of sorts. Something you can receive instruction on. Something that isn't a part of a person, but maybe... a part of their way of life. If you travel to a fae kingdom, for example... they have magic in the very essence of their universe. Magic is more of an aura. A concept applied across different studies and ways of life. Witches, for example, can practice magic. Usually of the dark variety.
...
Basically, don't think too hard about it. Especially here.
It'll just give you a headache.
text
this place is complicated
text
Then, you should question it.
Also - just a hunch, but I'm thinking you're already used to traveling through space.
text
yeah weve had space travel forever okay for a really long time anyway and this is all pretty normal to me i dont know why everyone was complaining about the food it could be worse but what i want to know is whats so special about earth seems like there are a lot of people from there
text
In the last place I was in, we had a bad... famine. The animals went rabid, all the food died, the water went bad — I prefer the weird cubed space food by a mile.
Earth is special just because there are a lot of people from there. Homesickness and all. And this kind of stuff is pretty impossible for a lot of people from earth, too.
text
huh i guess so but i wonder if its just coincidence or the audience likes earth for some reason
text
And... Maybe Earth is extinct in this universe, and they like to revisit what's long gone now. It's the same interest humans have in dinosaurs, back on Earth. In my world. Which... sucks to think, that my planet might not exist here, but. I can see plenty of ways Earth would end up exploding.
Or whatever it might be.
text
i hope it didnt blow up that means theres some real trouble and i like not having trouble here maybe were just in a different galaxy that likes to spy on people it would explain this reality show thing
text
Do you think we're actually on a reality show, or are they just messing with us?
text
text
The problem is mostly trying to get it to begin with.
They have plenty of ways of keeping us in the dark.
text
text
I'm Sam, by the way. You?

text
You ever need an ear, I've always got one handy.
Or if you ever find out anything weird about this place.
That, too.
