[A rather disgusted-looking Al is holding up what looks like a stack of magazines when he turns the camera on.]

Today, our lovely sponsors have sent me a stack of armor catalogs. I guess they figured that I miss my armor and would want to wear a set again... but I don't, really. I found a way to reuse my old body for other things back home, so I don't need to buy more. But that's not all... [He holds up a few images of a boy roughly his age and height modeling a very gaudy outfit.] They also want me to dress for this upcoming huge party, I guess. I don't know, do you all think I would look good in this outfit?

The epaulets are a bit much, but otherwise I'd say it has potential.

Hello young master. That... seems terribly impractical as armor.

I suppose it depends on your taste. [ A careful, diplomatic way of saying 'I think it looks awful.' ]

I have experience with these sorts of events, if you'd like some other ideas for costumes.

Glad I'm not the only one who thought that. I think I'd even feel like a pompous ass wearing it.

I think I'd remove the cravat, too. I'm not one of those guys who can pull off a cravat.

Yeah, most of this is for decoration, it feels like... or costume. Which defeats the purpose of armor.

And I'm not sure this fits my tastes, to be honest. I'd like suggestions, though- I'm afraid I've never dressed for an event like this before.

It rather does. Of course, armor may be both beautiful and practical, but such ornamentation as that seems foolish, instead.

I don't see why not. Have you ever tried?

When I need to be formal, I go with a dress shirt, dress pants, and maybe a vest and a tie. Casually, I usually go for shorts and a t-shirt or tank top, since I lived in a pretty warm climate growing up.

[Al held up a page depicting a suit of armor with a gaudy raspberry-red hat and a heart-shaped shield.]

Like this... any enemies would probably be laughing too hard to attack.

Admittedly, no. I spent most of my teenage years as a suit of armor, so I never had to dress up much.

HO HO HO. Yeah, I can't pull off the snotty laugh.

I do! I could always ask Kitty or Wanda, too... I feel a little weird not knowing this, but I've never had to dress for a ball before. I've done a suit and tie for formal occasions, but nothing like this, and Brother would just as soon wear a masquerade costume as he would eat his coat.

That... is a very strange and impractical shape for a shield. Although I suppose the hat is well enough, on its own, but passing strange in that particular pairing. I would have to agree that the only victory achieved would be by slaying ones foes with laughter. Unless that was the intent.

Not a fan of fancy parties I take it? I can relate. But hey, I think it's pretty normal for a guy not to know how those things work. It's more of a lady thing.

It would be a unique way for dealing with a foe, wouldn't it? Unless this is meant to be worn by a knight who's going to woo his lady... and I'm not sure it would be effective then, either.

Yeah, if I were at home, I'd have Winry and Granny to dress me.

Brother's not a party guy, no- and being involved with the military like we were, there wasn't much time to party, anyway. Whenever there was some kind of celebration, we tended to be pretty far from it doing research and stuff anyway.

Well, there you are. You have a lot of time to make up for. The worse that would have it that you have to take it off. It's a far easier piece of clothing to discard than a shirt would be, for example.

Perhaps if the lady in question had a particular sense of humor! But I suspect that whoever designed those has never actually worn armor before!

That's true! And who knows, maybe it's the style on this planet. Gas masks and cravats, what a combination.

Most likely no- or else they're trying to pass off decorative armor as practical armor just to clear their stock out.

I'm probably going to ask some of my female friends for fashion advice. Brother and I worked for the military, so we've never had much of a reason to dress up in any way.

There you go. Everyone has some girls in their life to do that for them. Uh...assuming Winry is a girl.

Sounds like my ideal night, honestly. I'd pick research over a fancy party any day.
