We have a masquerade coming up, and I was bored so I thought I'd mettle in people's lives for my own amusement. First, the disclaimer, there is nothing wrong with going to a dance solo.

Now, for anyone else, who wants a date?

Sorry, not me. Taken. But there are probably some of you out there thinking a date would be fun, and sure, why not? So speak up. Let's make some love connections. Or, you know, awkward dancing connections. I'm a mutant, not a miracle worker.

I guess I could just poke my head in whenever I visit Winn and hope I get a show. [Is Winn listening to this. Is he making sad faces? Maybe she should...be less like this.]

I'm sure I'll see you at the masquerade, right? What are you allergic to anyway? Dying moons?

I'll remember to strip down to my drawers every time I'm alone in my room, just in case.

There was that one time my hands swelled up like a pair of cartoon character gloves. And I did temporarily lose vision once.

Yeah, that was my thought. And she's Fleet, so I might be a little biased too.

I understand that. Time displaced fleet, right? She's from your future? Or an alternate one?

She's from an alternate future. But, who knows? Maybe in my future she'll be exactly as she is here. Hard to say just yet.

Stranger things have happened. It's good you both have someone kind of from home.

Yes, definitely. I'm sure we both wish we were each from the other's time, but it's nice just to have someone Fleet on board. And it's interesting - learning about a possible future.

When I mentioned I'd met people from her ship she was eager to hear about it. I guess you know something about that. [Since they'd had a Pavel chat. She still misses him.]

Haha, yeah. The crew... they're family, you know? It's nice to hear of family, to know they're doing all right. It's like hearing about home when you've been gone for six months.

I know. Also true of teams. I have an embarrassment of family here. [Some feel more like it than others if she's honest, but it's such a shortcut? It took her so long to form bonds like this in the prison. Partially because her trust issues were off the chart at first and partially because it was all new and different and human or at least not mutant.]

_{[ He's curious, because... well, he's never heard of any of them, and no one he's met has mentioned knowing Kitty, but then she's never come up in conversation. Not for lack of being conversation worthy, it just never ventured there. And Kirk doesn't kiss and tell. ]}

Well, Kurt. One of them is from my world, but they both count. Rogue, Remy, [he wasn't an X-Men in his world, but she's still including him] Erik. Mm, there are others, but it gets more complicated. [She feels like she should count Laura and Charles even though she met them more recently, but then Mystique and Hank are harder to pin down because of who they are here or who they were at home.]

Remy LeBeau?

_{[ You never know! And it's better to be sure than make an assumption

Yeah, I know him. We've shared a couple drinks, and he helped me out planet side when I got tossed into that mud pit fight.

the relationship he and Kitty have, or if Remy would even want that out

Mud pit fight? Sounds messy and kind of dangerous since icky pollution everywhere.

But yeah, Remy's a good guy. [She probably shouldn't cast these assessments wide enough for people from other realities, but nothing about him has told her otherwise here.]

They say it's clean, and since I am not dead, I am willing to believe them, but I also showered right away. So who knows?

I like him. He's quite fun.
