[The night has finally come--the Gravity Rush is nearly upon us! What normally serves as a large performance hall has been gutted, emptied of its boring furniture and rigged up into a fantastical mismatch of technology and old culture. No matter where you go tonight, you're encouraged to move around, dance, play games, whatever helps you sleep in late tomorrow morning.

If you aren't one for scurrying around a ballroom all night, there's always plenty of people-watching to do. After all, so many people are wearing extravagant costumes and elaborate masks. How can you even tell who is who? Get lost in a crowd of sequins, chatter with a sun and a moon, or try to beat the guy in the monster-mask at a game of cards. Meet your friends or make some new ones--this masquerade party has begun!]

[ Leto languidly strolls into the ballroom. This was his element and it shows in his posture and his stance. Dressed in leathers and a delicate filigree mask over his features. Nothing will disguise or hide the wormskin and it merits a few curious and disgusted stares, but Leto glides by with nary a care. His only concession to his time on Aather was a small black choker with a red stone fixed in the middle.

He likes the idea of the dance. Banter, secrets and the intrigue was often shared on the floor. It would have been nice to take Sable here, he briefly thinks with a pang. But such regrets are empty. ]

[Leto isn't hard to spot. The mask doesn't cover too much and the wormskin tends to give things away. He gets a smile—no disgusted stares from this girl—as she strolls up looking much finer than she ever has while in the fleet.] You clean up nice. [And she looks happy to be here.]

I do remember informing you that I had some talent in that area.

[ He does a light polite bow. Habit in the ball room. ]

Ooh, bowing. Are you going to call me Lady Kitty too? [Robb Stark was doing that and she couldn't bring herself to make him stop.]

I stand corrected. [And amused.] Of the House Pryde?

[Of course Loki's going to find Leto for a dance. It isn't even a question. He simply glides up to catch Leto's hand and pull him out onto the floor for something with a quick pace. He expects Leto to be able to recognize him just fine no matter how he is dressed, just as he expects Leto to keep up with him.]

[ Leto laughs, thrilled by his bold action. He twines their fingers together, taking up the proper position. ]

Are you going to sweep me away?

[Leto, you do not disappoint. Loki takes the lead, and keeps the dance close.]

Tempt me and I might go flapping off into the night with you clutched in my talons. My hoard is rather impoverished at the moment.

[ He hums, leaning close, keeping in rhythm. ]

I've always liked that idea. Being whisked away from it all.

Shall I set you upon a mountain peak or at the top of a high tower surrounded with brambles and spires of ice?

[It's a dance, and he's in a fanciful mood.]

[Wrath just sees the profile out of the corner of her eye, and for a moment it doesn't register that the person she actually knows is in a wheelchair. She reaches out to grab his sleeve.]

[ He glances at her, unperturbed. ]

I'm afraid not. Would you like me to direct you to him?

Um. That's okay. [It feels like it would be super rude to ask him to do that.]

Wow, you have really pretty eyes.

[But she can't help but peer a little closer, because she's mentally cataloging how she'd even try to capture that color, what it makes her think of.]

I guess you must come from a really cool planet. No one I know has eyes like that. Even the people who did a lot of body mod.

[ Padmé walks over, looking as much in her element as he does. ]

[ He bows appropriately, to show respect for her status. ]

It should be me saying those words, Queen of the Clear Skies.

[ She replies with a polite bow in return. Though her brows furrow in confusion. ]

"Queen of the Clear Skies?"

Naboo is known for its beauty. Though it is a pale reflection of her queen.

[ That startles her. ]

I don't remember talking about Naboo.

[ Lauralae walks about the masquerade with an air of disquiet, attempting to shy away from all those that would dare look upon her. She still feels out of place and vile in unfamiliar company and it sits on her like a leaded weight, making her feel ill and her stomach tie into knots. She would not be here if there was anywhere else she might find herself, but curiosity and the whispering promise of learning something new had drawn her away from the ships.

Dressed in full black with an almost grotesque mask, she knows she makes a sight to be seen. All the same, she spots a familiar face in the crowd and walks towards it, stepping out of the shadows to speak. ]

You seem pleased.

I am pleased.

[ He smiles at her. Careful of her wishes, he does not extend a hand, though he would like to. ]

Doubly so now that you are here.

[ She watches him carefully, her eyes boring into him for a long moment before she relaxes, some of the sharp tension falling from her shoulders. She has chosen to trust this man, to an extent, and she can allow him some liberties. ]

Idle flattery.

[ Because who has ever been happy in her company? ]

I do not understand this celebration. Why call for joy when there is naught but suffering to be seen?

Flattery is many things, but idle is not one of them.

[ He considers this, tapping his chin. ] People need a little hope, to know that not all is lost.
