[The night has finally come--the Gravity Rush is nearly upon us! What normally serves as a large performance hall has been gutted, emptied of its boring furniture and rigged up into a fantastical mismatch of technology and old culture. No matter where you go tonight, you're encouraged to move around, dance, play games, whatever helps you sleep in late tomorrow morning.

If you aren't one for scurrying around a ballroom all night, there's always plenty of people-watching to do. After all, so many people are wearing extravagant costumes and elaborate masks. How can you even tell who is who? Get lost in a crowd of sequins, chatter with a sun and a moon, or try to beat the guy in the monster-mask at a game of cards. Meet your friends or make some new ones--this masquerade party has begun!]

Did you forget to bring a mask then? [She went over that, but she doesn't even sound scolding. Just amused.]

I was too excited... [ Sheepishly. ] But I held my breath! I didn't get sick at all.

You didn't bring either kind of... [Deep breath.] Sascha, first I'm going to dance with you and then I'm going to throttle you.

[pneumo]

.....As long as the dance comes first. [ Then he can withstand anything that follows!! ]

[She steps back, tugging Sascha with her...gently.] Can you at least tell me why you don't listen to what I tell you? [It's not just frustrating though it's certainly that. But it makes her worry too.]

[pneumo]

I was just so excited to come to my first party... I forgot to grab it when I left. [ He was literally just a ball of impatient energy waiting for the party to start, and probably got kicked out of Bigby's room for pacing or something like that. ]

I know you get excited but some things are really important. You remember getting sick before you wouldn't have wanted to spend the party like that, would you?

[pneumo]

No... [ That had been awful. ] Sorry Kitty.

[passingthrough]

Just...do better? It really was for your own good. I want you to be healthy and safe on top of having fun.

[pneumo]

I will... [ ;; He's sorry mom ]

I'll find one for the way back, promise.

Good. And until then we can stop talking about it and just enjoy the dancing. [She even gives him a little smile.]

[pneumo]

[ Mom......♥ He can't help return the gesture, brightening some as he nods. ]

--Okay! [ Sweep him off his feet~ ]

[Oh, she will! Ready for a gentle spin, Sascha?] Have you danced with anyone else?

[ 90% ready! He only falters a little, and though his steps are off he's able to keep in time. ]

Just Obi-wan. He wants to fix my brain! [ Technically speaking. He's missing a few key details when he says that. ]

Oh, um... Well I can't remember who I used to be in stuff because I have brain damage right? He said he wants to find a way and see if he can fix it☆

[Her lips part slightly with surprise and god why didn't that occur to her? Of course he does. The way he forgets things or doesn't understand... He's not doing it on purpose? Excuse her, she's just going to feel terrible for every time she ever yelled at you, Sascha. And for calling you a potato.]

...He...thinks he can?

[pneumo]

[ He probably didn't properly explain it to her either granted, but yes. He looks sheepish, but that's more for Obi-wan's endless optimism and hope than the way Kitty has ever treated him. As far as Sascha's concerned she's his best friend ever and has done no wrong. ]

He says there might be a way...but he hasn't found it yet. Sweet of him, right?

Yeah, it's sweet. [She should talk to him about that. She also needs to stop dancing for a moment to just hug Sascha for reasons.]

[pneumo]

[ Oh no, mom... Sascha isn't prepared for that and it catches him off guard. Kitty isn't usually so forthcoming with affection like this, but it's only takes a moment or two for him to respond and hug back. ]

[She reaches up to pet his hair too.] I didn't realize there was something... I didn't know.

[pneumo]

D, didn't realize what...? [ He asks that, but he can't keep the stutter from his voice nor his heart from thundering around inside his chest. Kitty's hand is on his head--she's really patting it. He didn't even ask her to, and she's...

Sascha swallows the excited lump in his throat, ducking his head for her. ]

That... you were injured. I should have been more patient with you. [Does she know that the head petting is a huge thing for him? She does not. It's just what she does to comfort. Though right now she might be comforting herself.]

[pneumo]

[ Whoever benefit it's for, Sascha will take it. Especially with how it makes his heart race and throat feel oddly tight. That normally doesn't happen. Is it a good thing, he wonders? ]

Oh....you mean my brain? It's okay! [ he tries to assure her. ] It's the same for all Newborns. None of us remember much.
