Masquerade Mingle
[The night has finally come--the Gravity Rush is nearly upon us! What normally serves as a large performance hall has been gutted, emptied of its boring furniture and rigged up into a fantastical mismatch of technology and old culture. No matter where you go tonight, you're encouraged to move around, dance, play games, whatever helps you sleep in late tomorrow morning.
If you aren't one for scurrying around a ballroom all night, there's always plenty of people-watching to do. After all, so many people are wearing extravagant costumes and elaborate masks. How can you even tell who is who? Get lost in a crowd of sequins, chatter with a sun and a moon, or try to beat the guy in the monster-mask at a game of cards. Meet your friends or make some new ones--this masquerade party has begun!]
[[ooc: All sections are up now, have fun! A related ooc post is HERE for any questions or plotting you'd like to do.]]

I've never had anything of the like. [Closest would maybe be the nights of entertainment when the Wives performed for Immortan Joe, but that was a horrid, private event and she cut herself short from the memory, and smiles softly at Ahsoka.] You look like you're having a good time.
no subject
Do you want to dance?
no subject
[She laughs a little, finding the request a little sudden and unexpected, but she's not opposed to it. Really, this has been the first chance she's started to allow herself to let loose and enjoy life.] I haven't danced much, I don't know how good a partner I'll be.

So we can both be bad together!
no subject
Alright then. Let's go be bad at it! [She holds out her right hand for Ahsoka, wearing an intrigued sort of half-cocked grin.]
no subject
See? How hard can it be!
no subject
[Furiosa makes her best attempt, but she doesn't have any comparable experience. She's a brute force fighter, not light on her feet or particularly graceful. She stumbles more than once, but there's a growing levity to her response to failure. In part it's Asoka, who she trusts, and who's cheery nature is hard to ignore.]
You do know how to have fun!

[Which might explain why she's got two left feet.]

[She's been here near a year and this is really her first time letting her guard down.]

[They usually come after vivid dreaming, which can go either way; hope manifests in seeing the Wives, happy and prospering, the bottomfeeders living with water when they need it, want it. Then there are also nights she's revisited by Immortan Joe, by trials with the other Imperators, with the persisting tension each time she'd attempted escape. Either way, it was harder on those days to fall into what freedom they did have here.]
[But now, she's starting to get it. She attempts to lead Ahsoka into a twirl - which she'd witnessed someone else executing. It hadn't looked that hard ...]
no subject
Woo--! No chance of that tonight, though!

Do you have any plans for dancing with anyone special?
no subject
[Because honestly it wouldn't have crossed her mind otherwise. But then, she returns the cheeky grin.] And you?
no subject
I'm not here on a date with anyone, if that's what you're asking. I'm still planning to return home, after all. [Jokingly:] Don't want to break any hearts, you know how it is.
no subject
[Furiosa chuckles,] I don't think I do. [Romance was such a distant ideal, she finds it hard to envision it for herself.]
no subject
[Ahsoka chuckles too.]
I was just joking anyway. I don't know the first thing about romance, really. It's never really been an option for me.
no subject
Same. But you have the opportunity here, you should go break some hearts, you're young. [And hopefully not as hardened as Furiosa is.]

Sorry to have assumed. I can't save I've met many non-humans before this place.
