[The night has finally come--the Gravity Rush is nearly upon us! What normally serves as a large performance hall has been gutted, emptied of its boring furniture and rigged up into a fantastical mismatch of technology and old culture. No matter where you go tonight, you're encouraged to move around, dance, play games, whatever helps you sleep in late tomorrow morning.

If you aren't one for scurrying around a ballroom all night, there's always plenty of people-watching to do. After all, so many people are wearing extravagant costumes and elaborate masks. How can you even tell who is who? Get lost in a crowd of sequins, chatter with a sun and a moon, or try to beat the guy in the monster-mask at a game of cards. Meet your friends or make some new ones--this masquerade party has begun!]

[Furiosa is glad to find a familiar face among the crowd. Between the members of the Fleet she'd never met, and the natives of the land, there were a lot of strangers. And while she didn't necessarily have a problem with strangers, she still held herself guarded among people he didn't know.]

Beverly, hello. Your dress is ... quite something. [Impressive is one word for it.]

Furiosa! Thank you!

[Beverly smiles, running her hands down the bodice of the dress.]

I was worried at first it'd be a bit too much but - [She looks around at the great variety of costumes and gives a small laugh] - I see now there was absolutely no reason to worry.

I think you definitely fit right in. My dress might be too simple, but I couldn't pull that off.

[She motions to Beverly's dress. She wouldn't have known what to do with all those ruffles.]

I wanted to thank you, too, for helping out with Max. I know he can be ... problematic, but he's a good guy.

[Beverly glances down at her dress when Furiosa gestures at the ruffles, but quickly looks back up in mild surprise at the thank you.]

Of course. Anything I can do to help him, I will.

I appreciate it. He needs good people in his life. [They all did, and Furiosa realizes it now.] It really makes getting through the shit a lot easier.]

I will. [Right now, it's hard to know what she needs from Furiosa. What Max needs. It's a delicate situation.]

Did he tell you we saw each other again? Twice, actually.

[Furiosa quirks her brows at that. It's unexpected news, but encouraging.] No, he didn't. I assume once was for falling into the pit?

[Which begs the question what else did he fall into?]

Yes. Not that he was too happy to see me at first, but I eventually got him to let me fix his knee at least.

The other time we saw each other, he came to apologize. For my eye.

[Furiosa smiles softly.] He's not too bad a guy. A little rough around the edges, but in my world ... that's pretty standard.
