[The night has finally come--the Gravity Rush is nearly upon us! What normally serves as a large performance hall has been gutted, emptied of its boring furniture and rigged up into a fantastical mismatch of technology and old culture. No matter where you go tonight, you're encouraged to move around, dance, play games, whatever helps you sleep in late tomorrow morning.

If you aren't one for scurrying around a ballroom all night, there's always plenty of people-watching to do. After all, so many people are wearing extravagant costumes and elaborate masks. How can you even tell who is who? Get lost in a crowd of sequins, chatter with a sun and a moon, or try to beat the guy in the monster-mask at a game of cards. Meet your friends or make some new ones--this masquerade party has begun!]

[ He would absolutely right in that assumption. Sascha doesn't know how to lead yet, and even when following his steps are a little uncertain and he looks down more than once to make sure he isn't stepping on any feet. ]

You needn't be. Follow where I lead and you shall learn.

[Definitely going to keep it simple, but he can teach well when he wants to.]

[ He's grateful for the easy pace at least, swallowing a little and trying to follow along as best he can, albeit a tad stiffly. ]

Sorry... I just don't wanna step on you by accident.

Trust that my feet have borne far worse outrages than you could hope to give them. [He survived being taught to dance with Sif and Thor.]

[pneumo]

[ Those would be some pretty powerful feet, it's true. ]

Oh...well, in that case. [ Kidding, kidding. He's still going to try to avoid that, even if he'll also be trying not to be so tense. He'll achieve mixed results. ]

[complicatedliar]

Shall you balance upon my feet like a boy in leading strings? [He's amused, teasing. But he keeps them moving to the music, sticking with one sort of step until Sascha's figured it out before moving on to the next.]

[pneumo]

[ It takes him a minute or two, but he'll be confident enough in the easy first step that he should be able to move on, holding on carefully for guidance. ]

...Man, that would be way easier.

Easier, but you wouldn't learn nearly so much. A parable for you, in the midst of a dance, yes? [Really, Sascha's doing fine when he's not being so self conscious. Loki's danced with plenty of humans and human-like people; he doesn't have high expectations.]

[pneumo]

....Yes. [ He has no idea what 'parable' means, but it sounds smart so he's just gonna go with it. ]

You're really, really good at this.

I've had many years of practice. That is what helps the most.

[pneumo]

Years?? Whoa... [ No wonder he's a Casanova on the dance floor. ]

[complicatedliar]

And I learned form a very early age. Where I'm from, we often have partiers even grander than this.

[pneumo]

Even grander...? [ He can't even picture such a thing. ] What sort of parties are they?? How old are you? [ Because he's still under the impression that Loki's a vampire like him, whoops. He assumes 'early age' means from when he was first turned. ]

[complicatedliar]

Victory feasts. Celebrations for holidays. That sort of thing. [He laughs.] I'm over a thousand years old.

[pneumo]

A, a thousand-?? [ Holy crap. Sascha won't be able to disguise his shock, and couldn't even if he's wanted to. He's never met anyone that old before. ]

[complicatedliar]

Yes. More than that, but it is a nice, round number. [He does like to shock people with that.]

[pneumo]

[ Colour him appropriately shocked, enough that he even stumbles a little in the middle of their dance for a moment. ]

What's being that old like?? I thought anyone that old must be stone or something... [ Like, literally stone. Not just old. ]

[complicatedliar]

Oh, but I'm not old. I'm quite young. Barely out of youth.

[pneumo]

Huh??? But...

[complicatedliar]

[He says nothing. He'll just let Sascha mull it over. It's more amusing that way.]

[pneumo]

[ Then enjoy away, Loki! Because he's clearly struggling to piece this together, looking more and more confused and baffled by the moment. ]

But--I'm young, so how can you be young too if you're way older??

A mathematical conundrum.

How long shall you live?

Um....until I die, I guess! [ If that can happen. He's been beheaded and burned at the stake, and neither of those seemed to do anything. ]
