[ In her broadcast, Kara is in her PJs, hair down and glasses off. She looks like she just woke up not too long ago and the overall vibe is very "confessional vlog". She doesn't seem distressed, just a little confused, and tired—though her eternal optimism is always there somewhere. ]

Hey, so, question: On a scale from "wow that's super weird we've never heard of something like that" to "it must be a Wednesday on the Fleet", how common is it to just like, get a bunch of "new" information from home? Which, now that I think about it, is kind of a dumb thing to ask because we have implants that give us job skills training. But I'm just wondering. Uh, in the abstract? Something like that.

Anyway, I'm going to go get some coffee and food because I'm starving. Who knew that sleeping was such hard work?

[ maybe he's trying to compensate; for the time he couldn't be a good friend because it just hurt too much. maybe he's trying to compensate for not being upfront with her when he was the future. maybe he's just trying to not think about what'll happen when he leaves her room and calls kitty. maybe his attempts at being a better person are just working. maybe it's a little of everything. either way, he's determined to not fuck this up - to be the friend that she deserves this time. to not put his foot in his mouth.

You remember the whole Bizarro situation, right? Max learned about kryptonite from that, and tried to reverse engineer it. He messed up and ended up with Red Kryptonite.

[ ok. well, that just means they'll have to work fast if it ever comes around. that also means being able to recognize that it is what's come around. ]

So what does it - do, exactly? What is it? What's it look like?

It's red and it glows? And it just makes me awful. I'm not sure what else to say. Green kryptonite hurts me, red kryptonite just... makes every negative thing I've thought surface.

[ he can't even picture it - kara's always so positive - but then, he supposes that means there's a lot of lurking negativity read to explode. ]
