[Cheese appears on the screen with a wide grin and a wave of his hoof.]

Hey everypony!! Today is a super duper awesome day! It's Pinkie Pie's birthday! I know she's pretty new to the Fleet and all, but I've thrown her a little shindig and I'm sure she'd love as many of you lovely folks if you could show up. She will for sure pay it back in kind when your celebrations come up. I mean, if you think I'm a good party planner, you wait til you see her.

So yeah! If you wanna come celebrate her birthday, come on down to the Iskaulit. I'm gonna be bringing her over at about seven. It's gonna be a surprise!!

[Action: Iskaulit]

[And those coming aboard the Iskaulit will find glitterly arrows stuck to the walls, leading them to the room where Cheese has set up the "little shindig". There are balloons and streamers everywhere, bunting and banners hangs from the ceiling - all bearing the face of the aforementioned pink pony. Food tables stand to one side, filled with delicious (but vegetarian) dishes, while another table holds more deserts and treats than you could ever imagine. The center-piece is a birthday cake which seems to be in the shape of an aligator. But Cheese isn't actually that great at the culinary arts despite his name, so it's kind of hard to tell.

Regardless, it's clear a lot of effort has gone into this, and the theme PINKIE IS GREAT is perhaps a little too obvious. But this is what happens when you put others on pedestals. Time to party like they're not on a bunch of spaceships trapped in a reality TV show for the rest of time. Woooo!]

[He'll point to one that is a long clear plastic tube with straws posted into holes in the middle, which hold up some marbles. Yeah, it's... ]

This one's called Ker-plunk! You take a turns to take out straws and whoever makes the least marbles fall in the end is the winner!

Oh, THIS is a new one! Hee, my sister Marble might like this one a LOT!

Hmmmm I think I'll piiiiick THIS one!

[There's still plenty of straws holding up the marble bundle so none fall yet. Cheese's turn~]

It's from Earth! Pretty neat, right?

[He'll carefully take a straw of his own, nothing falls yet. SO INTENSE!!!! ]

Does Marble like marbles?

[Sometimes pony names lead their destinies, but sometimes it's just random. One can never tell.]

[SUCH INTENSITY!]

You bet! ANYTHING with rocks, really! Same for all my family!

She's really REALLY shy, though. She likes smaller, quieter parties.

[Oh yeah, did he hear about the rock farm yet?]

Wow, really? Rocks? And here's me thinking you came from a family of epic party ponies.

[It would make sense. She's so GOOD at it and so full of joy. 'Rocks' is not the word that comes to mind when he thinks of her. ]

Pfffft nope! I do come from a family of epic rock farmers though~

[It's... not the most exciting job in the world, but hey, somepony's gotta farm those rocks.

Ooooh those marbles are starting to tremble a little...]

That's really neat! I mean, I never would have guessed it. So what's rock farming like?

[He'll pull a a straw and clink! a marble topples down. He picks it up and puts it in what will no doubt be a sizeable pile for him.]

Reeeeally really quiet. Heck, before I saw Rainbow Dash's first Sonic Rainboom, we barely talked at all, let alone smiled or laughed or sang or anything.

[It's all said nonchalantly, though, no bitterness at all, before she pulls out another straw taking one-- oh, no TWO marbles with it.]

Oh, that's... really sad.

[Not that he can say anything, his existence before he came across Pinkie was nothing short of miserable. It's hard to imagine joy imponiated coming from any background than one of fun and happiness all the time.

The tone is there though, so he pauses before moving his own straw.]

You mean you didn't mind it?

[She gives a shrug, waiting for him to make that move.]

Not really. We didn't really know any better, and me and my parents and Limestone and Maud and Marble and I all loved each other so I wasn't lonely or anything. Hee, we STILL love each other!

And then Rainbow Dash pulled off her first Sonic Rainboom, but at the time all I saw was this AMAZING rainbow! And it was my very first rainbow too, and it made me SO happy that I threw my first party!

[Huh. So even withall that she had a pretty nice foalhood. He wonders what that's like. Haaaaa.

He exhales, pulling a straw out and PLINK PLINK PLINK down come three marbles. ]

So that's how you became the fantastic party pony you are today. That's pretty neat, and it links you and Rainbow together too. Sounds like you're friendship means a heck of a lot.

[What WAS his family like, anyway?]

You know it~! The Rainboom gave all SIX of us our cutie marks too!

Wow, really? So you gals were connected together from that early? That's- [kind of weird but also- ] that's really special.

No kidding! ESPECIALLY since we didn't really meet until Twilight came to Ponyville and we stopped Nightmare Moon together!

Oh, I remember that. When everything went super dark for a while, right?

I can't believe it took that long for you guys to finally meet.

Yup, that's it!

[And hey, look who finally remembered her turn? Time to pull that straw and three marbles pall into her cup.]

Well Twilight was living all the way in Canterlot then, Rainbow Dash was still in Cloudsdale, and Fluttershy was MOVING to Ponyville but she was still really REALLY shy!

[It's okay, Pinkie, he'll just end up with five marbles on his turn, whoops! Maybe the story is that thrilling! ]

Huh. That's pretty neat. That destiny brought you all together not once but twice. Looks like you gals really were destined to protect Equestria right form the get-go.

[Hmmmm he wouldn't be LETTING her win, would he?]

Hee, I guess! But really, WE were the ones who went after Twilight to figure out how to get the Elements of Harmony, and I don't think it would've worked at all if Twilight didn't realize we were her friends!

[If Twilight and especially Starlight have taught her anything, it's that actions do a LOT to shape the future, even more than destiny.]

[Would he ever do such a thing?

(Yes, yes he would) ]

I guess that's true. And think what a different place Equestria would be if that never happened.

Ohhh yeah. WE never really saw it, but Twilight and Spike and Starlight saw a couple versions once, and they were noooot pretty!

Good thing they DIDN'T happen, though!

[Whoa whoa whoa back up. Bad futures?]

Wow I-

[No. Wait. Back the hay up here. ]

They saw what? Like...alternate futures?

Ohhh yeah. So the castle that came out of the box had this magic map that sends us all over Equestria to solve friendship problems! And our FIRST friendship problem was going to this village WAY in the northern mountains where Starlight was telling ponies that cutie marks and differences between friends would lead to friendships ending, so she'd take EVERYPONY'S cutie marks, including ours! But then a couple ponies in town helped us get the cutie marks back and everypony there's REALLY happy now!

But THEN Starlight was so mad that she tried to go back in time and keep Rainbow Dash from making the Sonic Rainboom, and Twilight won't tell us EVERYTHING but she talked with Starlight and she's sorry and she's our friend now!

Um. Looks like I've missed a heck of a lot since I've been away. That's um- yeah that's a whole lot of stuff.

Congrats on redeeming her I guess?

[He doesn't even know how they manage that. That's protectors of the realm stuff he doesn't have to worry about the ins and outs of. She might have to remind him it's his turn. He's still trying to fathom what sort of world it would have been if the gang hadn't seen the rainboom. Would that mean Pinkie didn't get her cutie mark? And by extension, he wouldn't have had his, right? Wow. ]

[To be fair, a lot of it HAPPENED in a short period of time. But yeah, that's a lot to think about. Cheese could've ended up turning into a traveling TAX AGENT.]

Aw, thanks! Twilight did most of the work on that one, but we are cupcake buddies now~
