Good, I'm glad that's helping! But... If you are interested, I do know of a medication that would make your pupils contract, at least for a few hours, which might especially help on a planet where we have less control over the lighting.

Oh...um. They're just normal? For me. 'Cause I'm always out where it's light, so...

[ sacrificing his own comfort to be around people, no matter how much it hurts later, has become routine for him. He's just that starved for interaction. ]

Sascha... [Beverly's brow furrows with concern for him] How often do you get these migraines then? Every day?

Um.... Yes? [ Sometimes several a day, if you count the short "breaks" between them that he sometimes gets as separate. Otherwise it's just one long, massive migraine until the light go out and he can wait for it to stop. ]

[Frowning at you, vampire. But doing it with all the worry.] Anything else? Do you catch on fire at least once a day? Anything that might be normal to you?

I don't catch fire...! [ I mean, he can but that's only if someone actually lights him on fire. ] I'm just not supposed to be awake when there's light out.

Daily migraines aren't normal, nor should they be. You don't have to keep dealing with them on your own.

[Gently.] No, of course I'm not saying that. I just want to provide you with tools to help so that you can do the things you want to do, without as much pain.

Oh... [ Well that doesn't sound so bad. He'd actually be quite grateful if he didn't have to go through several hours a day of migraines. But with light and humans needing it, he figured it was just something he'd deal with...well, forever. ]

Not unless there's something specific about vampire physiology that I'm missing - but perhaps... Sascha, would you be okay with performing regular check ups, so I can see if there are any long term changes?

Oh...sure. I don't mind. [ He's not sure what there'll be to see given that he heals, but! If it makes Kitty happy, he'll do it. ]

Well, thanks, Dr. Crusher. [The thing she was hoping to hear more on seems like a dead end, but maybe establishing a pattern with regular checkups will help. Finding a way to fix his headaches is good since she didn't even know that was a problem.]

May I ask why you came to me and not Dr. Tam? If you don't want to say, that's all right, I'm just... surprised.

Dr. Tam? Oh, Simon? I just knew your background with Starfleet meant you'd probably treated a lot of non-humans. And I don't know any thing about his background. I wasn't sure if he was even a doctor before or just someone with an augment. Is it a problem?

No, no, it's not a problem. It's just that Dr. Tam is the primary physician, so I wanted to know. And he is a doctor, in his world, though there are only humans in his universe, so you are right on that count, that I'd be more familiar with different species.
