[ last time he posted anything, he was a nervous wreck and kind of nauseous. the changes the past two months have left in him are impossible to miss; winn is smiling, upbeat, and almost comfortable. the nervous energy that is there has more to do with his addressing a bunch of strangers than the constant fear of death by space-stuff that overshadowed his first feed. ]

Hi, if we don't know each other - I'm Winn Schott. If we do know each other...I'm still Winn Schott - [ shaking his head, why hasn't he learned from the last time? prepare a script! ]

Anyway! I've been here for a couple months now, and it's been interesting - and I mean that in the original sense of the word. Think about it - not only are we in outer space [ there's only a slight wince at that, and even a lot of excitement. space is terrifying - but it's also really cool ] - but we have a once in a lifetime opportunity to reach across the multiverse and learn things that haven't even been dreamed up in our worlds yet. I've been learning - a ton from just casually talking to people, but there is a much better way to do this if we all cooperate, [ open source. it's the way of the future! ] and I know I'm not the only one out there who's interested!

So, I've got a suggestion for anyone who thinks that's really cool - and - pity for anyone who doesn't [ and by pity, he means judgment. he gestures excitedly with his hands as he introduces his brilliant concept ] - 2016: A Space-Time Odyssey - a series of free weekly lectures about anything and everything we've got here. Talks about different worlds, science, history, art lessons, concerts - I know we've got some musicians here - basically anything anyone signs up to talk about, teach, perform, or however you communicate things where you're from. Since we don't have a lecture hall we can broadcast the talks - give ourselves a fun routine....and if that doesn't work for someone, I can post the notes I'm so gonna take of all of these. Who's in? Who wants to go first?

[ because missing memories seem to be fairly common in kidnappy-dimensions. ]

Did you find out anything about what happened?

Oh, um....yeah, I know why it happened. It was just regular back home though, no space TV shows or anything.

Complete memory-wipe is normal?

[ what kind of messed up world are you from? ]

[ The one where you die for a little bit, suffer brain damage due to a lack of oxygen, and then come back to life!! Totally normal, that. ]

his curiosity is just going to drive him crazy now, but he can tell they're touching on a sensitive subject here - he's had enough conversations with people on the fleet with terrible histories to know that 'sensitive' is a polite word for 'terrible', and he doesn't really want to be the guy poking and prodding at people's pasts. he wouldn't want it done to him, even if talking about his dad has gotten a lot easier. he still only told kitty about it. ]

Ok. So - after you woke up - somewhere in Europe - there were a lot of polluting factories there? What else?

[ It's the same sort of casual respect of an uncomfortable subject that Kitty and Bigby tend to give him. Sascha's still not used to it and it still catches him off-guard, even now. He'd expected more questions and more probing which, while he wouldn't necessarily ask Winn to stop? Would definitely be unpleasant for him.

Well, not a lot at first. Most of them came later. The village I was taken to didn't have aaanything like that.

Was it...nice? The village?

[ he so hopes it is. it's exhausting and depressing how hurt the people of the fleet have been. he's no hero, but he does get some super protective instincts at all these heart wrenching stories. ]

Uh-huh. It was really nice. [ ...Until the decided to lynch him for being a vampire, only for the real culprits to their issue deciding to finish off most of them. ]

Yeah? [ that cheers him up, it's a good thing he's not a mind reader. ]

What was it like? Who took you there?

The village guy that found me~ [ His name was Abe, and he had a wonderful wife and they were super-kind to him when they were alive. ] He helped me up and gave me a place to stay--and it was super nice! Cold 'cause it was winter and stuff, but everyone was smiling and they always had warm fires going.

Sounds like a great place.

[ he'd have liked for a nice village guy to find him after his dad went to jail and his mom bailed. of course, with his luck, that would have involved pitchforks too. nobody likes the son of a murderer. ]

Did he give you your name?

[ Funny, that. ]

...Yeah! How'd you guess?? [ No one else has, oddly. He's actually never had anyone make the connection before, so he's rather surprised someone's actually done it. ]

[ he took an intuitive leap. a name is one of the first things people tend to look for in strangers, it's a way to un-strange them. ]

....Oh. Yeah. [ Well that just simplifies things in a way that make him feel a little silly and underwhelmed, but he tries not to look it too much. ]

Yeah, he named me after a friend of his!

[ this is why magicians don't reveal their tricks. he should have gone with 'I'm psychic' shouldn't he. ]

Must've really liked you. [ he'll never really be able to tell whether sacha's from the past or an alternate world, but it seems pretty clear that either way it's behind on technologies available in his. ] Is that where you were taken from?

[ It would have gained him a fanboy, that's for sure. Sascha's always wanted to meet someone connected to the actual occult. ]

The village? Nah... That was a long time ago. [ How long, one wonders, since he doesn't look older than mid-twenty at most. ] I was in a way bigger city before I came here.

[ It comes out fluid and natural, but Sascha consciously chooses not to touch on the subject of Abe; that story is not a happy one, and he doesn't want to think of how he'd betrayed the man's trust by turning out to be a monster instead of the human he thought he was. ]

[ it's be nice to have a fanboy for once, instead of always being the fanboy.

people don't always sense the passage of time logically, something could feel very long even when it isn't, so winn doesn't pay it too much attention. ]

What was that like? Do you remember the name of the city?

[ he doesn't push, that village doesn't sound like something he'd leave unless there was some pressing need, and those aren't usually the nicest things to talk about. ]

Marseilles, I think. I'm not super-good at French yet. [ Yet. He's been working on it for a year or two so far though, and he's coming along. He'd once tried French about fifty years prior, but it hadn't taken too well. ]

[ France is tits.

Like, literally he has never seen women with so little clothing Winn. Scandalous. Almost as much as your gf in the oversized nightshirt. ]

...It smells like lots of baking and fish! [ And he can eat fish, so that's....something. ] The people are really fun to watch.

[ That is the sacred place okay it is even more scandalous there. ]
