[Poor Kirk, he had quickly become one of Remy's favorite people to annoy, the man's humor too easily lining up with his own that he was impossible to ignore. Especially with the Cajun was bored, which was often considering there was only so much to do on their ships. So given the chance, he had headed over to the Tourist to see if he could convince his friend to get up to something that was no good.

_{[ Remy thinks 'poor Kirk', but that could easily be turned around as the feeling was mutual. He quite liked Remy and the easy way it was to flirt with him and tease and just... be himself. It was rare he found that so well outside of his crew on the Enterprise and he was glad to have it in someone here.

And no, Remy, it would not take much to convince him to get up to no good.

For the moment, though, Remy had his full attention, and if he were a dog with ears they would have been raised and swiveled in Remy's direction, tail wagging so hard that it would risk knocking everything off the shelves behind him. ]}

_{[ His blue eyes are sparking now, almost as brightly as when Remy had
him pinned to the bed that one time. He's oh so hopeful Remy. ]}

[Oh, that look from him, it left Remy's mouth hanging open as he tried to think up some words, an excuse. Yet all that got out was an exhaled sigh from the breath he didn't realize he was holding. It was ok, it would be ok... provided Kirk didn't ask him how he knew how to play.

Moving further into the room Remy took a seat across from Kirk.] 'm rusty, been few years since I got to do 'nything close to this, ya might have to refresh my memory on some things.

_{[ Honestly, Kirk should have wondered more about how Remy knew, but that was secondary to the fact that he could play at all. And he did so want someone to play with.

That's fine. I didn't imagine I would find anyone to play with besides Beverly, but I'm not even sure if she knows how to play.

_{[ She might know what the game was, but knowing the game and playing were two different things. ]}

[Remy was able to push past any concern for what he had gotten himself into, or at least the reasoning behind it, in exchange for going through his memory of if he ever saw Beverly playing the game in the series. It was a long series, but nothing came immediately to mind.

Nah, I get it. This place be mostly full with good folk but it ain't the same as havin' someone 'round that ya got a connection to, hein? _{[ Kirk waits patiently, used to carrying on conversation while he plays. He smiles, though, at the others words, glad he did not seem a monster for wanting something like that, glad that the other understands. ]}

Who do you miss most from back home?

[Now that brought out mixed feelings, that same wanting to be near them but glad they weren't here, Remy's smile slipping a little but still just enough upturn at one corner to show he wasn't put off by answering.] My tante, m' brother, m' sister-in-law, all good people, though wouldn't want them to go through this, 'nd certainly not fair to bring only half a couple here 'nd leave them lonely.

A couple of my old teammates weren't bad either, though wouldn't trust one as far as I could throw him, not 'round fire at least. The other, he might be well suited here, though again, wouldn't want him to be taken from his family. [Again, Piotr had gone through that once already with Magneto, Remy wouldn't ask for that a second time.] Ya self?

_{[ He wasn't familiar with the term, listening even as he moved his
pieces across the layers of the board. He made a humming sound, as if
musing over the question. ]}

I miss Bones and Spock. Sulu, Chekov, Scotty, Uhurah. They're main core crew, you know? They're about the closest thing I have to family. Spock and I actually play this game a lot, or just plain chess when we want something different.

It feels strange, not seeing them every day.

Ah, aunt in French. [Remy explained as he continued to play out his turns in the game, sometimes realizing he made mistakes after the moves, other times catching himself before he did so as the game came back to him.] Gotta guess miss ya old ship too, 'specially when compared to what we stuck with here.

_{[ Kirk gives a good effort, but he's not trying as hard as he could
either. He wants this to be fun, after all, and he's half focused on the
conversation anyways. ]}

She sounds belle, mon ami, would love the chance to see her, if dimension jumpin' ever becomes available to the masses 'nd not just alien tv show producers. [Because the chance to be on the Enterprise would make teen Remy so jealous and a dream that was impossible in his universe to come true. Hell, the fact he was friends with James T. Kirk would be such a huge thing for teen!Remy also, even if it wasn't one he would recognize.]

_{[ He winked at him as he moved his pieces, making one move in
particular and smiling brightly. ]}

Oooh, [That was let out in an exhale of a breath, playing up the whole idea behind it.] That be a mighty fine offer ya makin' there. [Before his tone turned a bit more distant as Remy focused on figuring out his next set of moves. He really was rusty at this. Knowing he could do much for his current move, Remy moved his piece to safety as his eyes scanned the rest of the boards to find a way to stop that on coming checkmate.]

Hmm, and not one I would make to just anyone. But I figure you would know how to handle her, how to touch her right...

_{[ He reached out and brushed his fingers along Remy's, smirking. It
could have very well been a come on or a distraction tactic - probably
both. Kirk moved his own piece, the confident, charming look remaining.

[And it might very well work, if Remy wasn't concentrating so hard to get his brain into this game. His eyes moved upwards at the stroke, focused on first Kirk's touch then his face for a long moment, before he let out a breath of a laugh and shook himself from getting dragged so into this all. Was suppose to be fun, not caught up in this all.] Aw, cher, ya just know how to give a person warm fuzzies with talk like that. Careful, ya might make me blush.

I think I've learned how to do that already, actually. I like it when you do the one that's this particular shade of pink...

waited for Remy to complete his move. He was in no rush himself. ]}

I do all shades of pink well, they just normally part of m' clothin'. [Hey, magenta is a legitimate color choice for casual wear and for uniforms, just with the right mix of other colors. Moving his next piece Remy spotted what he hoped Kirk wouldn't, that it did put another piece of his in danger of being taken out, or maybe he was just living up to his codename and hoping it would be taken and give him an extra turn to move. Who knew?] Think goin' to have to do this again, I need the practice at it.

_{[ Hey, no judging here. Wear what colors you want, Remy - though he
liked your au natural colors the very best. The move takes him by surprise,
but he's actually rather delighted with it. He likes a challenge, after
all. He tries to keep that off his face though, considering his own move
now. ]}

Well if you're offering, I'm happy to oblige. We can even make it more exciting. Ever play strip tri-dimensional chess?

[Remy laughed before smiling widely over at Kirk.] Cher, if ya want me naked all ya gotta do is say, 'll take 'ny excuse to strip down a couple of layers.

Maybe sometimes I like working for it.

_{[ He smirked, making his move, though beneath the table he did run his
foot against Remy's calf, his eyes grazing up and down him with obvious
interest of the more carnal kind. He knew what lay beneath those layers,
and he liked what was there. ]}

What's the phrase? Money won is sweeter than money earned? Or I suppose in this case - you minus a few pieces of clothing.

[Oh look, he should had timed how long it took before Kirk had reached out like that, then again it would had stopped the clock at that earlier graze of his hand. Not that it would ever be a complaint from Remy, he was a very physical guy (in many ways) including general touch, whether with a loaded emotion behind it or just reaching out, it was an important part of his life ever since he had gotten his powers under control. He needed physical touch, it was just too embedded in his personality.]

Well ya ain't goin' to be workin' much for this game, but if that the case then I get to win 'gainst ya at strip poker.
