Of course, sometimes that works in his favor. Like when he wants to give people looks, like the one he's giving Kitty]
Mm, I decided to take a - break from the claws for a while.
Chess, Kitty? Really?
no subject
Nah. That was just a ruse to get you in my clutches. [She seems pretty laid back for such a statement.] I wanted to talk to you about someone on your ship and I couldn't do that over the network.
I do have a chess board though.
no subject
But if you really want to play, we can while you - talk to me about this person.

Vision? [he does look around, though - the only other ship he's been on is the Tourist, and his ship is by far nothing like this. He makes a noise, eyebrows shooting up, impressed] He's able to grow things here?
no subject
It's totally still dumping. Except...probably not really.]
Vision's captain. He's one of the Avengers if you've heard of them. Like Kate on your ship except they're from different realities.
[She looks over at Hank, thoughtful for a moment.] Do you want a closer look?
no subject
It FEELS like it, that's what matters]
Ah - I've heard of them, yes. They're a group similar to the X-Men, as far as I've been told. And sometimes the two work together. [it's a future thing, and one he might even admit to looking forward to seeing]
Closer look?
no subject
That's what I hear. [Not your future though. Blame Fox and Marvel.]
[She holds a hand out for him to take.] I don't just walk through stuff.
no subject
[one day Fox and Marvel will get along] Mm, and - Vision's a part of that? Geez. They really are going after all the superheroes.
. . . I could probably leap up there. [he says, but he reaches out to take her hand after a moment] What else do you do?
no subject
[She takes his hand and applies her phasing to him even if she thought about retracting the offer when he mentioned leaping. There isn't much to grip on to up there though and she's not sure if the plants themselves are stable enough for his weight to be added.] I walk on whatever molecules I feel like walking on. [She takes a step up into the air and waits for him to follow suit.] Come on.
no subject
[he watches her take a step - more like stares, really. As always, whenever someone displays their powers to him he's utterly amazed, his interest genuine. It makes him seem far younger than he actually is, like an excited child] You—wow. That's amazing.
[oh and now she wants him to do it. He takes a deep breath, then steps up next to her]
no subject
[There's a reflexive smile when he decides to go and be all impressed by her power. He really is very hard not to like.] Just like riding a bike. Or nothing like riding a bike actually. Mostly like using stairs. [She nods up to where the plants are and takes more steps up and in that direction, careful not to let go of his hand of course.]
no subject
[listen, it's impressive, and it's something he's never seen before. It isn't hard to impressive him, but to get him to act like this, well - showing off like this is the way to do it] Right, stairs, geez - is that how the phasing works, too? Only - er, reversed?
[he follows behind her, never more than a step behind. Of course if he did accidentally let go and fall it isn't a huge concern, but it'd be inconvenient. And this is too cool to ruin the experience]
no subject
Oh, um, yeah, kind of? I just slip my bits around the atoms of something else.
no subject
That's - [he isn't going to say amazing again, dammit] - a lot more than just passing through objects.
no subject
no subject
He's - he's a teenager.
no subject
...Is that not something you know about? [She was doing so well keeping the Wanda thing under wraps too.] I guess asking if Erik knows would be kind of pointless then?

So, are you Kurt's dad or what? [Well, she decided not to think about Erik getting busy and apparently her brain just shifted to Hank himself.]
no subject
No. I have no children, and I'm absolutely certain of that. [and weaker, muffled into his hand] I was trying not to think about that either, Kitty . . .
[. . . he's a glutton for punishment, this has decided it]
He doesn't know who his father is?
no subject
You're not... I mean, you've... Right?
