[ the girl who walks to the bridge isn't a usual sight there. mostly because she works so hard on understanding her duties in the sick bay. still, there are times margaery wanders her to marvel at the view and at the work being done.

today, however, she walks over, all pale silks and brown locks, a girl no older than seventeen and curtsies ]

Forgive me my intrusion captain, I wished to introduce myself, it is high time we meet.

[In response, the Vision rises and bows to her, somehow managing to look both fluid and awkward.]

It would be my pleasure. I am the Vision; Natasha left the Windrose in my care before she departed, if you knew her. What may I do for you?

I never had the pleasure but I heard wonderful things of her. I am Margaery, Captain, Margaery of house Tyrell, I was assigned the care of the sick bay.

[ not something she expected but something she tries to do well nonetheless ]

I only wished to say I am at your service, if you shall ever need my assistance in anything for our crew our anyone in the fleet, it shall be my pleasure to offer my aid.

We're fortunate to have you, Margaery. Dr. Crusher was somewhat in despair over our lack of a medical officer for some time.

[Look some of them are accident-prone.]

Do you have any particular interests or specialties I should be aware of? As for myself, in addition to being the Engineer I have a broad knowledge of computers and robotics.

How fortunate then. Would that my services shall never be needed and may our crew be blessed with good health for the rest of our journey.

[ and as for the question, she curtsies again, her smile turns a shade bashful ]

I fear I have never been in a realm in which a ship can sail among stars, Captain. I am gifted with a needle and thread, if anyone shall need clothes or uniform of any kind.

[dryly] May Wrath not injure her back further. Has she seen you for muscle relaxants?

[...it's probably best not to mention that his "outfit" isn't actually clothing and that he rarely wears anything that isn't formed of his own body.]

You're hardly alone in that. In my own timeline, my planet has made short trips to its own moon but not beyond. Humans can live in space, but only for short time and with few of the conveniences of these ships.

I'll keep an eye out for fabrics at our future stops, if you'd like.

Not yet but I shall be certain to have them ready for when she will, it should not be an issue.

[ she smiles a little, looks around them ]

The only ships in my time sail on water and not very fast, either.

[ but she will curtsy again at his offer ]

It's so sweet of you to offer, thank you. It would be most helpful. I've been collecting as much fabric as I could buy and carry. We might come to need it one day.

[ and she could use some new gowns ]

Thank you.

So it was on Earth for thousands of years. Only in the last century have we pierced the atmosphere, though our entry into the larger galactic community is still a matter of debate. This has been very much a learning experience for me as well.

[He inclines his head.]

Certainly. Please do let me know if you think of any other way I might be of help.
