Me and Wrath were talkin' the other day, and I don't get it, why they take some people like me and her who don't mind bein' here, but then take people like you that don't wanna be. Why not just people who got a reason to be away?

I really think they don't have much control over who comes here. They've just learned to make the best of it. Because it's true- I'm sure they could find all kinds of people who'd jump at the chance to be on their show, especially since they can pull people across universes.

It makes sense to me. They found out people were appearing at random and decided to profit from it. Of course, it's not a perfect theory.

Well I'll be damned, I never thought of that one. I just assumed they were the ones that brought us. Kinda changes things, don't it?

It does. Like any theory about what's REALLY going on here, it's got holes, though. Like, they're able to implant our augments, no matter if we're human or alien, and transport us whenever and wherever they choose. I can buy them bringing people as they want. On the other hand... why US? Why not choose combinations of people that would have the most impact and cause a lot of drama- like, I dunno, Batman and the Joker?

I wonder that a lot, believe me. Were versions of us there? Or people we know? How long did they last, how big was their appeal? I'm curious.

Versions of us? You mean there's more than one of me out there?

Maybe. People have gone back to their worlds and come back here not remembering anything about the Drift Fleet. So it makes sense.

I know, right? I wonder if it would cause any time paradoxes, especially if one of us has memories of home that the other didn't or hadn't experienced yet.

Basically... where two things that aren't supposed to exist at the same time end up existing. Can you imagine two versions of me appearing at once?

Probably. It never ends well in the movies, anyway- maybe the other me is evil and kills me, and that causes even MORE problems.
