Who: Ahsoka + You
Broadcast: Yep!
Action: Not really (though if you want to find her, she'll be in her room on the Starstruck)
When: idk today
Hey! Soooooo since we're all stuck here, and going outside on this planet kinda sucks bigtime right now, I've been making it a project of mine to try and learn as much as I can about the different cultures of the other worlds people here are from! Particularly Earth, because there's so many of you! Someone told me the collective noun is "Earthlings"? Anyway.
I've been trawling through the media library, but to be honest, I'm not very good at sitting and reading for long periods of time. So I figured, why not just ask you guys instead?
Tell me one (or more!) thing about your home world that you think is culturally significant. It can be traditional, religious, social, or pop culture is fair game too! After all, it's no fun when people are making pop culture references that fly over my head.
The only rule is that you can't say the same thing as someone else. You ready? Go!

I'm not really much for poetry, but... can you summarise?
voice;
When he first came to Bamarre, my home, he found it overcome with dragons, ogres, gryphons and specters. There was danger everywhere, but he led the people and showed them how to fight against it. He was brave and strong, quick witted and kind. With his leadership, the people began to combat against any monster that caused them problems. The threat lessened.
[a small pause.]
But... This came with another set of problems. Slowly, the people became less willing to risk injury or death fighting against monsters that rarely troubled them any longer. One day, Drualt's lover, Freya, was bathing in a river when she was attacked by gryphons. No one from the neighboring village came to help her, though they witnessed the events. By the time he found her, it was too late. Angered and betrayed by their inaction, he left Bamarre.
...It's not an entirely happy story, but it's meant to serve as a reminder of the danger of being passive and letting fear control us.
voice;
Was it... true? I mean, did that really happen?
voice;
voice;
Wait, you mean you became a part of the living Force?
voice;
voice;
A few people are able to keep their consciousness alive after death in the Force. That's what we call the Living Force.
[That's sort of the world's most over-simplified explanation ever but w/e w/e idk my bff Star Wars.]

In certain uncommon situations, people are brought to their castle. Drualt was offered a chance to join their ranks after he left Bamarre.

[a small pause]
If I may, I would like to hear something about your world as well.

Well... I already told you about the Force. The next most obvious thing is the Jedi, but... that's kind of complicated. Have you met any other Jedi here? I'm curious.

[she nods]
I have, yes. Obi-Wan and I are on the same ship.

For reference, Obi-Wan was my old master's-- old master. [She chuckles.]

Oh, I see! You two must be close, then.

I'd like to think maybe our relationship is just changing. Not fading.

It's hard to pin down one thing that's "universally important" in our galaxy because every planet has it's own different culture and holidays, but there's one I really like on Naboo. It's called the Festival of Light.
