[You would think someone was holding Mystique at gun point with the initial look she gave the camera, looking none too happy to be making this broadcast, but a huff of a sigh and roll of her eyes later and she managed to compose herself to a more neutral expression. She of course could fake a more fitting emotion easily, she was well versed in acting a part but since this wasn’t a mission she saw no point in pretending to be something she isn’t. Others would just have to deal with that fact.]

After being in talks with other occupants of our current predicament, it seems the best way to past time here between our semi regular stops is to take up a hobby or something of the likes. And considering I came here with practically nothing, [Not that Mystique needed much, yet she certainly had been missing her weapons until she was on board the Golden and had gotten access to guns again, sating her need to be constantly armed.] And I have been told my typical actions are not the most practical choices here, [There was a pause as she seemed to struggle with saying the next words, as if the entire idea disgusted her.] I would be interested to know what others do as hobbies or to past the time. [That may be the closest to her asking for help that most here are going to get out of her.]

I am willing to swap information. I may not be practiced in more mundane activities but I do have a wide knowledge on more specialized topics if someone wants practice on how to arm and protect themselves.

I understand it's suppose to be a tool, useful to us, but, [She stopped, pausing and debating carrying on, saying those words that... well, that revealed some of her true thoughts. Her eyes focused on his video for a long moment before she eventually spoke again in carefully chosen words.] To have it forced upon us, placed there without permission. To be tagged. [The last word was said with such venom it left her jaw tight and clenched. A rage that couldn't truly be expressed.]

I could change my skin, make it transparent, you may be able to see it. See what we have had forced upon us. [And that, that felt like a purpose, a mission. To find out what this thing was.]

[ Charles nods. He doesn't need her to elaborate on that. ]

Do you think you could do it with Hank and myself there? Or would you prefer to try doing it yourself and managing a picture of it?

It's just behind my ear, Charles, I think I can handle that with an audience. [Considering the anger it caused, her humor on the topic felt a little morbid. It may had not be placed on them with that intent, but as a mutant, a mutant who had been stuck in a lab with a bunch of scientists who wanted to poke and prod and learn how she ticked, it felt the same. Being marked by it.

As much as she hated the man now, Mystique was glad Erik wasn't here, to see it happening again. To go through it again. They were at odds over a number of issues but she still felt for his reasons to fight, to make sure his people were never put in that position again. To not let the past repeat.]

Then I'll contact Hank and work out a time.

[ It's a bit disconcerting, though not in a bad way. Perhaps this is the kind of interaction he will have with Raven when it comes to solving their problems. As equals. ]

You know where I am when you need to contact me. [It may had not been exactly what this broadcast was about, but it did give her something to do, something to aim for.

[ He smiles, genuine. ]

Oh, and Charles, one more thing. [Before she decided to end the video, her face set to a pleasant tone, her voice also holding the same level to it despite her following words.]

If you tell my son what you told the older version of himself about knowing who is father is, I will skin you alive. [The fact she appeared so calm and apparently not off put at all, either by his slip of the tongue or her threat, only seemed to give the words more power behind them than if she had screamed or snarled them at him.]

[ He blinks. He's more surprised at the threat, not at the threat itself. ]

I wasn't planning on it, it honestly had just slipped out before.

Why the secrecy?

[ Azazel wasn't anything special, after all. He's confused why Kurt's parentage seems to be laced with secrets. ]

Then I advice you don't make that slip again. Kurt is not to know. [About any of it. Why she didn't go after him, why she left him to the Wagners, what was in his blood. It would be better for him if he didn't know.]

Clearly, [A long pause as she pressed her tongue against the inside of her teeth, using the sharp pressure to help focus her and force her words forward.] The Azazel, [That word was said with more venom than one would think was possible to put into a spoken word.] From your world is not the same threat as in mine.

[ He nods, even if it was perplexing. ]

Well . . . he's very dead in my world.

[Oh, those words were so very, very sweet to hear, and Mystique almost asked him to repeat them as she closed her eyes for a long moment, just resting in them.

But if Azazel was dead...] And I take it he and, Raven, did not have time alone? [The softening of those words mainly due to speaking with her 'brother', but also maybe a little due to the fact that... well, that had happened for herself, and the bite of regret that went with it. Yet if they hadn't been together, that meant...

No Kurt.

[ He hesitates. ]

They might have. I wouldn't know. I think that's something you'll have to ask her.

[Her gaze stayed steady on Charles' as she thought through it all, and blatantly ignored other parts of it. It didn't matter to her, not really, it wasn't her world and clearly there were already great differences between the universes, such as being siblings with this man. There was a chance Kurt wasn't her son in his world, wasn't Azazel's. And if he was then their world would be safer without Kurt or any of Azazel's offspring around.

Yet it didn't change that kick in the gutt about thinking that Kurt didn't exist there...

She wasn't sure how she felt about that, but she did know how to act.] Unimportant for now, [Before switching back to the previous topic, sure her promise of harm would not fall on deaf ears.] I'll wait for you to talk to Hank then contact me with a time we can work on the implant.

[ He nods. ]
