[You would think someone was holding Mystique at gun point with the initial look she gave the camera, looking none too happy to be making this broadcast, but a huff of a sigh and roll of her eyes later and she managed to compose herself to a more neutral expression. She of course could fake a more fitting emotion easily, she was well versed in acting a part but since this wasn’t a mission she saw no point in pretending to be something she isn’t. Others would just have to deal with that fact.]

After being in talks with other occupants of our current predicament, it seems the best way to past time here between our semi regular stops is to take up a hobby or something of the likes. And considering I came here with practically nothing, [Not that Mystique needed much, yet she certainly had been missing her weapons until she was on board the Golden and had gotten access to guns again, sating her need to be constantly armed.] And I have been told my typical actions are not the most practical choices here, [There was a pause as she seemed to struggle with saying the next words, as if the entire idea disgusted her.] I would be interested to know what others do as hobbies or to past the time. [That may be the closest to her asking for help that most here are going to get out of her.]

I am willing to swap information. I may not be practiced in more mundane activities but I do have a wide knowledge on more specialized topics if someone wants practice on how to arm and protect themselves.

I'm something of the same boat, but I'm finding a few things to keep my time...

Sparring, for one, if you can find someone - and I would be happy to spar with you if you like. I'm proficient in hand-to-hand defense and combat. There's also a library on the Iskaulit of you like reading, and right now on the planet there's some good museums and the War Games. I've made myself a Tri-Dimensional Chess Board to play games.

Entertainment, unfortunately, is very much of the 'make your own' kind here.

So I am starting to see. [Those words were accompanied with a sigh, glad she hadn't set her hopes too high on gaining anything interesting out of her broadcast beyond what she had already worked out for herself. It was rather disappointing, considering she was suppose to be trying to 'branch out' and try new things...

Clearly sticking to what she knew was more reliable. Including sparring.] It's been awhile since I have sparred, [Fought? No. Sparred without meaning to harm or kill someone? Yes.] I wouldn't turn down the offer to get more practice, since you are offering.

things like swimming pools, an entertainment theater, fencing grounds,
gardens, bowling alleys - everything that could be needed to keep a crew of
some 400+ from growing stir crazy in what amounted to a tin can. Atroma had

Heh, well good. I like having different partners to work with - keeps me from going stale. We have a pretty good size room to work in, if you don't want to use your own ship.

[Mystique managed to make herself nod at what Kirk said, finding wisdom in those words about needing to practice against a range of people... but also not caring. She didn't care at all about his own experience with fighting. But she was trying to play nice, because she was stuck here, and it was smarter to get on with other than to cause tension. Even if it meant she had to fight the need to dismiss most she talked to with a roll of her eyes and wave of her hand.

Play nice.] I would rather get off my ship when given the chance. [Anything to get a change of environment, and if it allowed her to check out other ships... that was a bonus.]

Then feel free to come over to the Tourist. I'll set up the rec room for a spar. I'd say we could go down and use the planet, but I'd rather not get covered in mud again, if it's all the same to you.

[She lifts a brow at the comment of the mud, but for the most left it alone, having spent little time on the moon and not really desiring to spend time in that kind of atmosphere, alien planet or not. It seems strange new worlds didn't really impress Mystique, not unless they could be useful to her.] I'll take that into consideration. I've also been informed the Iskaulit as rooms set up for fighting and training.

Hmm, they do, but I consider those more 'public'. If you want some place quieter, the individual ships works well if the ship has room. But if you're the type to get a drink after a good workout, the Iskaulit would be better choice.

I'm not. [Mystique had no interest in alcohol beyond using it as a tool or to blend in. Her body didn't need it to function thus it was not important. She also wasn't too concerned about need for privacy, short of their being a lack of space for her to practice.] However, considering you're offering and if the public space is occupied, than yes, I shall take you up on that.

Do you practice a particular style, if I might ask?

Nothing official, but I try and cover a bit of everything, provided it's actually practical and not just for show. [There was no point in wasting time in learning something that looked pretty or intimidating. She would rather have people underestimate her, only to learn too late that they shouldn't had crossed her.] It all depends on the situation I'm in.

Fair enough. I think we can feel each other out in the first round, then, don't you?
