Good day everyone, this is Jim Kirk speaking, of the Tourist. If I could have your attention for one moment -

I have a request - I'm looking for someone who is good with chemical analysis of biological materials. Namely flora from the moon. My ship isn't equipped for an analysis and I'll be the first to admit that such analysis has never been my forte. I would like a partner in figuring out what chemicals, exactly, have affected the planet. I believe this is one of the first steps in helping the people here recover.

Heh, it's funny. One of my good friends back home has the same last name as you - Leonard McCoy. Though you look far less grumpy than him.

I can safely say I'm not a grumpy person.

Probably for the best. He's medical anyways. My science officer back home is a far more... logical person.

Well - I mean, at least you have both of them to give you two different views on things?

That's one way of putting it, but.. accurate.

That would be helpful. Or if you have equipment on your ship I'll come to you. We don't have anything we can use for an in-depth analysis on my ship.

You're more than welcome to come now if you want. [a bit of a wry smile] It's better if we work on your schedule, I don't really keep one. [or he does and it's the "up all night" schedule]

Heh, you make it sound like I do either. Not much of a schedule to be kept these days.

Well, if you're the type to stay up all hours of the night . . . [he nods] But that's true. Keeping a schedule here of all places is a little difficult.

Oddly enough, I am. I'm sort of the ghost of this ship some nights.

Ah. I'm glad I'm not the only one like that.

By all means, there's no rush. The lab's set up for everything anyway.

_{[ The feed goes dark, but around twenty minutes later Hank would be
buzzed or whatever it is one has to do to get attention outside a ship. He
has a backpack with him and container under one arm. ]}

[good thing he has twenty minutes to have time to react to the fact that he met Kirk. And he's going to do science things with Kirk. He is a giant nerd and he will own it, but only in the privacy and safety of his lab.

But Hank meets him in the docking area once his shuttle lands, giving a small wave when Kirk steps out]

anyone has sad as much. The idea that his lie is a tv show and a movie
series has not yet been bought up to him. He seeks Hank and smiles, waving
back, a container a back-pack indeed with him as he exits and comes over.

It's good to be here, and I look forward to working with you. Once we get these settled I can show you the preliminary results we've gotten from the labs on my ship, but I'm hoping you have some other equipment we can use to get more finite details.

[here's hoping Hank isn't the one who accidentally lets on that he knows. But at least he knows better than to just say it - he's just. Excited]

Mm, I look forward to working with you too. [he gestures for Kirk to follow him to his lab] I've been using whatever the lab has to offer, so I don't know if that's more or less what you've been using. But I'd love to see your results - I can show you what I've got so far as well.

_{[ He's gotten that reaction before, so he would classify it as strangely normal somehow. IDK, maybe his reputation precedes him, though he wouldn't say he's carved much of one out in the Fleet. He's been almost... normal here, which was a terrifying thought. But what could you do when you're not in control of the ship and where to go, right? ]}

Well, we won't know until we see it, will we? And even if you do, you might know some other tests to run. I know science, but I won't claim to be a complete expert.

He opens his mouth to reply to Kirk but then he spots the data-pad and his brows furrow in complete confusion. What in the world is that]

I—yeah, I know a few of a few tests people don't normally run. Plus a few outside the standard go-tos. If you could send the files that'd be great.

But I have to ask - what is that? [he nods to the datapad]
