[ Hera smiles a little. ]

I suppose you could always request a transfer to the Bloodsport if the name isn't literal enough for you...

[ That's a joke, she's sure the Bloodsport is a perfectly fine ship with a fine crew!!! ]

Anyway, I'm Hera - pilot and captain, for what it's worth.

No way, I've had enough of those to last me three lifetimes.

[She pouts, but perks up again, her fox ears standing up straight.]

I'm called Caster! It's a pleasure. What do captains do here?

[firstrebel]

Nice to meet you, Caster. [ Hera's smile doesn't fade, but it does turn a little wry. ] So far, mostly just trying to keep everyone safe while they scream at me that I'm not their mother so they don't have to listen.

[castrationfist]

Oh, my... It seems you've got some unruly children. Well, perhaps you should allow them? If there is much to keep them safe from, I imagine they will learn.

[firstrebel]

The worst part is, they're adults.

[ The kids on board are actually pretty good. ]

The problem is, when you're on a space ship, if you do something to endanger yourself, you're also endangering everyone else aboard. And there are young children here.

[castrationfist]

Eh, that's a pain... Even if they're not aboard the ship, it puts everyone else in danger?

[firstrebel]

No. What they - what you - do when not on board is none of my business.

[castrationfist]

I see.

Well, then, Captain, it seems like we'll get along well! I can't say how long I'll be here, but you won't have to worry about me.

[firstrebel]

Well, that's a relief. Do you know what augment you've been given?

[castrationfist]

I'm not sure. How can you tell?

[firstrebel]

You probably have some knowledge that you didn't have before - about weapons, or space ships, or other technology unique to this world.

[castrationfist]

Oh, like the information from the Holy Grail...

But it seems like all the new knowledge I have is just how to get around the ship.

[firstrebel]

Hmm. Communications, maybe? Does anything up here ring a bell?

[ Hera waves a hand at the instruments on the bridge. ]

[castrationfist]

None of it. I fear all of this is far beyond me.

[firstrebel]

Oh, well, we'll figure it out at some point. Not a problem.

[ She gives a vague shrug. ]

It gets kind of boring on the ships sometimes, but the Iskaulit - the bigger ship in the fleet, not the one you arrived on - has lots to do, and we'll often stop at a planet or space station as well.

[castrationfist]

[She nods, reaching into one of her sleeves to pull out the communicator.]

I read what I could on this, so I'm mostly familiar with the situation. We are currently trapped around a planet covered in a poison equal to that of the plains of Nasu, if I understand correctly. And there is no scheduled time for departure.

[firstrebel]

That's about right. You can visit the moon if you like - they'll give you a special mask to wear so you won't get sick. But we've been here for a while now - chances are, we'll be leaving before too long.

[castrationfist]

I think I'll pass on that... It's a bit too nostalgic for me.

[Of course, last time, she was the poison, but she doesn't need to mention that.]

Can you tell me more of the Iskaulit?

[firstrebel]

Yeah - I guess you could call it a recreation vessel. There are all sorts of things to do there. There's a training center for exercise, a garden, some bars...

[castrationfist]

Well... At least the garden sounds nice. I'll look at those later.

We really aren't given much to do here, though, are we...

[firstrebel]

I'm afraid not - we largely have to find our own entertainment. Try the network device - sometimes people have interesting things to say. It's a good way to at least socialize.

[castrationfist]

I have been, but it's still boring when that's all there is to do... It's not like there's a lot of talking on the network, either.

[firstrebel]

[ Hera has to shrug at that. ]
