[Ahsoka is wandering around outside with her usual air filtration mask on, but something is different-- obviously different. This isn't the sixteen-maybe-seventeen year old girl of yesterday. This is a pre-teen. And she seems lost.]

... Skyguy? ... Master Kenobi? I know you guys are around! You can come out now...! "Prank the padawan" isn't funny any more...

[She shudders.] This planet is giving me the creeps.

[The video is simple: a young, familiar alien graces the screen, except... something's off. Way off. It's not just that her clothes are different-- she's shorter, horns smaller, too. When she talks, her voice is more high pitched, and the cadence different too. Less... calm.]



Hey! Is everyone just okay with the fact that we can't go outside without air filters?! What sort of condition is this for people to live in? What's being done to help the local inhabitants? Or move them off-world?

I need to speak to the person or people in charge! Immediately.

[Ahsoka opens her mouth, about to go on another tirade again, when she pauses. Mouth slightly ajar, she stares at Sansa for a moment, realising that the other girl knew her name.]

... Sorry, I don't think I'm the Ahsoka you're looking for, Miss...?

[It's an obvious trail off; she wants a name.]

Sansa. We're -- [ friends. but she doesn't speak the word. instead, the pain of being forgotten eats away at her tummy. sansa makes her face a mask. ] We know one another, here. Do you not remember me, my lady?

Master Kenobi said I'm supposed to be older. Apparently it's some kind of ... side effect? I don't really understand it either. It sounds like time travel if you ask me! Not that anybody ever does...

Sure! In stories. It's not real.

Then again I have met a billion people today who say I'm supposed to be sixteen, so. I guess I'm wrong!

It might be sorcery instead. [ ... ] It might be a trick.

I don't think sorcery's any more real than time travel...

Anyway. I guess it doesn't matter, right? The important thing is that I'm here, regardless of how it happened.

[ sansa normally doesn't dare to be so indelicate -- but it's ahsoka. she's grown accustomed to a certain level of flexibility in her manners. so: ] Do you believe you'll stay younger?

Master Kenobi says it should pass soon. He usually knows what he's talking about!

When he's not talking out his butt, anyway. But don't tell anyone I said that.

[Uh oh. Someone's in trouble now.]

[She sighs.]

He probably wouldn't even be mad. He'd just use it as a teaching experience or something. He'd probably laugh and say something like-- [she tries to give her best impression of Obi-Wan:] "Perhaps you should meditate tonight on the reasons why a Jedi must always think first before speaking."

[steeledskin]

[ ironically, sansa now speaks before she thinks: ] And you have no patience for meditation.

[resnipstance]

Well it's so boring...

Who wants to sit and meditate when they could be practising lightsaber forms?!

[steeledskin]

[ -- because this wee thing still wants to be a jedi knight. sansa draws breath, then continues: ] He's likely right, in the end, to remind you to meditate. I cannot imagine you would regret it.

[resnipstance]

[Ahsoka slumps, defeated. Ahsoka is willful, but ultimately able to acknowledge when she's in the wrong.]

I know... you're right.

[She looks so unhappy about it though.]

[ -- she's acutely aware of the argument that happened the last time she and ahsoka discussed meditation. but sansa reaches out, now: ] We...we could do it together, if you like.

[resnipstance]

[Perking up, just a little--]

... Really? I mean-- I know it's not very exciting, but... at least it's less lonely if there's two.

[Which is her problem, really-- Ahsoka is a social creature. She likes being with people. She's not well suited to being alone.]

[steeledskin]

So long as you show me how.

[resnipstance]

You don't know how to meditate?

Well-- that's okay! I can definitely show you how. [If anything, she's a little excited to be put in the role of teacher.]

[steeledskin]

I would be grateful, my lady. [ ... ] Thank you.

You don't need to be so formal with me, geez. [and then some things never change.]

I'm just a Padawan. Ahsoka is fine.

[steeledskin]

[ at first, she feels resistance. but her agreement has been brokered with the older ahsoka. perhaps it's worth letting this fight go, for now, until all is normal again. ]
