[So we've been stuck on the poison moon for a couple months now, so a lot of people probably want to get away from that.

Huh. So they weren't human once?

No? They come from another plane. Vampires are a type of demon, where I'm from, too, with similar properties to an undead... Both vampires and undead monsters look like people, but they aren't.

Demons are like... Much larger than a human, all black, a dragon-looking face, big horns... Really big forearms, the claws hurt a lot. More or less mindless, as far as I know. I've killed a couple, and they were stupidly strong.

[she can't help but look just a little bit amused] Some would argue that some of our demons are pretty mindless. Yours sound cooler-looking, at least.

Ours? Directly from Hell. If you torture a human soul down there long enough, bam. It becomes a demon. To put it very, very simply.

In my world... We don't really have a 'hell' anymore, I think.

There's not a lot to talk about, really. And it's a lot of bad things anyway. I try not to come off terrible until the third time around.

No? It could be there still, for all you know. Not a lot of people know it actually exists where I'm from. Humans as a whole don't know half of what's going on behind the scenes.

There is an afterlife- Some adventurers have managed a planar teleport spell to take them there and back. But 'hell' was something created by the gods, and we killed the last of those about five hundred years ago. So... Now everyone goes to the same place.

So no Heaven either? No Purgatory?

Not really. The afterlife is 'heaven' when there's a hell, but there's no hell anymore. I don't know what purgatory is?

I meant it as a general "you", but - wow. Our God has been MIA for years. Not even the angels know where he is.

Purgatory is where all the monsters go when they die. Vampires, werewolves, djinn - they have their own little afterlife.

... Monsters don't have souls, so... At least, that's how it works in my world. I've met enough in my last shithole to know that's not true everywhere.

Think yours got killed? I'm... told that's not actually normal, and some gods are good, but I can't really imagine that.

He's either dead or he just stopped caring. He didn't show his face for the Apocalypse, as far as I know. I'd say that's a big sign that the big guy upstairs just doesn't give a shit anymore if he's still kicking.

Oh, probably. The world is on the brink of ending at least once a year, back home.

Anyway, I'm done with all of that. As much as I'm going to get the evil eyes from dumb and dumber, I'm all about enjoying my space afterlife.

I know. [she'd be foolish to expect it to be anything but] That won't stop me from enjoying myself. It isn't every day you get a second chance - and especially not a second chance that lets me make all kinds of stupid jokes.

...And you're alive here. There's always the chance to go back to someone else's world, or something. Stay alive that way.

It's an idea. I do like finding ways to stay alive. I could be considered a pro by now - recent death not withstanding.
