Who: Everyone
Broadcast: N/A
Action: Iskaulit
When:

[So we've been stuck on the poison moon for a couple months now, so a lot of people probably want to get away from that.

Unfortunately, the only place you really can get away from it besides your own ship is the Iskaulit. So, here's a June Iskaulit mingle!]

Yeah. I hadn't met her before the Fleet, but I'd heard all about her as she is now...

...it's complicated. We have allies that were on the crew that took her home safely as a child. [And enemies. The crew broke apart soon after, which is something she's never telling Koala.] In order to help us understand something in my time, we heard all about Koala's time as a slave. We're connected, in some ways, the two of us.

[So she feels responsible, vague explanations aside. It's a long story.]

[ He nods. ]

It must be strange, to see her like this.
namisan: (I'm probably lying)

[personal profile] namisan 2016-06-11 04:35 pm (UTC)(link)
It is. A little sad, too. [She frowns.] She got brought here before she ever made it home. This was more stress she didn't need.

[On the other hand, she thinks the Fleet might be good for her in a few ways.]

She has good crew here. And I notice she's doing a lot better than she was when she first got here. [She smiles briefly.] So thanks for that.

I don't think I did much there, but I'm happy to have helped.

[ Obi-Wan's experience with slavery was minute, but intense. He hasn't forgotten it. ]

[She smiles again. This time it stays.]

So what's your crew make-up now? I know Greed has long gone, and you've got an invisible captain...? Is that right?
beardstrokes: (Strength of character)

[personal profile] beardstrokes 2016-06-13 05:36 am (UTC)(link)
Invisible . . . ? Oh you mean Mikleo. I forgot other people can't see him clearly.
namisan: (lemon...hypnotising...)

[personal profile] namisan 2016-06-15 08:10 pm (UTC)(link)
I take it you can see him just fine? [She gives him a curious look.] Cole did say some can and some can't. I wonder what makes the difference.
beardstrokes: (Always reflects where we come from)

[personal profile] beardstrokes 2016-06-16 01:18 am (UTC)(link)
Yes and no. I can make out his outline and he can communicate with me with no issues, but I don't see him very clearly.
namisan: (hmm this requires great thought)

[personal profile] namisan 2016-06-16 11:30 pm (UTC)(link)
You don't know why he's visible to you?
beardstrokes: (Fear is a malleable weapon)

[personal profile] beardstrokes 2016-06-17 02:08 am (UTC)(link)
Oh, I know. I'm force-sensitive. We can make out what is unseen, what is hidden. Akin to the way magic behaves, I believe.
namisan: (absent thinking)

[personal profile] namisan 2016-06-17 02:19 pm (UTC)(link)
Force-sensitive...

[It's the first she's heard that. But given the minimal information she has it sounds a little familiar.]

I wonder if haki would work as well.
beardstrokes: (Evil is not born)

[personal profile] beardstrokes 2016-06-19 07:09 am (UTC)(link)
I'm not familiar with that term.
namisan: (sup just hanging out)

[personal profile] namisan 2016-06-19 09:00 pm (UTC)(link)
In our world, it's kind of... force of will, I guess. And you can wield it in different ways. Most of it wouldn't apply, but there's a particular application called observation haki.

[She cracks a wry smile.] Our chef practices that one. He can hear a girl scream in panic from the other side of an island, and he sees a lot more than anyone else can.

[ He nods. ]

It's possible. People with heightened senses should pick up what's unseen.
namisan: (I like you)

[personal profile] namisan 2016-06-20 03:00 am (UTC)(link)
I'm probably not going to be seeing him any time soon. My senses definitely aren't heightened when it comes to people.

Can you hear him on the comms?
beardstrokes: (Can shake the greatest belief)

[personal profile] beardstrokes 2016-06-20 03:04 am (UTC)(link)
I believe anyone can. The technology allows for that, thankfully.
namisan: (absent thinking)

[personal profile] namisan 2016-06-20 10:37 pm (UTC)(link)
That's good, at least. It can't be enjoyable if the majority of the Fleet doesn't even know he's there.
beardstrokes: (Who my father was)

[personal profile] beardstrokes 2016-06-21 07:41 am (UTC)(link)
Honestly, I don't know how he manages it. I would have given up in frustration long ago.
namisan: (I don't speak little bitch)

[personal profile] namisan 2016-06-22 12:14 am (UTC)(link)
He's probably got long years of tolerance from living with it at home. Sorey comes from the same place as far as I know, and nobody has trouble seeing him.

But yeah. I wouldn't enjoy it at all.
beardstrokes: (Struggles often begin)

[personal profile] beardstrokes 2016-06-22 09:24 am (UTC)(link)
They're an odd combination, aren't they?
namisan: (eyyyy)

[personal profile] namisan 2016-06-23 06:53 am (UTC)(link)
[She grins.] Actually, of the two of them, I've only met Sorey. I've been meaning to introduce myself to Mikleo, though.
beardstrokes: (Is a plan in failure)

[personal profile] beardstrokes 2016-06-24 10:36 am (UTC)(link)
I'm sure he'd like that. He seems to be closely involved with Sorey.
