Who: Everyone
Broadcast: N/A
Action: Iskaulit
When:

[So we've been stuck on the poison moon for a couple months now, so a lot of people probably want to get away from that.

Unfortunately, the only place you really can get away from it besides your own ship is the Iskaulit. So, here's a June Iskaulit mingle!]
grandstanding: (Uh ... huuuuh.)

This doesn't seem like it's appropriate for young girls.
axiomed: (My head and my heart)

[personal profile] axiomed 2016-06-12 06:40 am (UTC)(link)
Well, teenagers most likely would find it enjoyable, I imagine. The dark mysterious man. The everyday girl.
grandstanding: (Default)

[personal profile] grandstanding 2016-06-12 06:50 am (UTC)(link)
[He just snorts. Children today.]
axiomed: (I couldn't give you all)

I suppose literature has changed a lot over the years.

“I'm anything but fine. I feel like the sun has set and not risen for five days, Ana. I'm in perpetual night here."
grandstanding: (How terribly gauche)

[personal profile] grandstanding 2016-06-13 09:26 am (UTC)(link)
[He rolls his eyes, up towards the ceiling. What a bore this Christian Grey is.]

Poor him.
axiomed: (By common sense)

[personal profile] axiomed 2016-06-13 09:27 am (UTC)(link)
Hmm, he does seem to be in dire straits. I don't know why he's so fixated on her. She wasn't interested in his, ah, unusual needs.
grandstanding: (More bang for your buck.)

[personal profile] grandstanding 2016-06-13 09:35 am (UTC)(link)
It's a novel, Charles. Obsession has always been a part of literature, especially romance. Did you never read Jane Eyre?
axiomed: (Wasting my days)

[personal profile] axiomed 2016-06-13 09:43 am (UTC)(link)
Briefly. I was never into Brontë. They had a very strange view of the psyche.
grandstanding: (Fooled around fell in love)

[personal profile] grandstanding 2016-06-14 05:15 am (UTC)(link)
I can't say I immersed myself in them either. It was just an-- [He stops abruptly, eyes tracking to the left. The vision is back. With a forced sigh, he looks back towards Charles.] An example.
axiomed: (No I don't remember)

[personal profile] axiomed 2016-06-14 07:59 am (UTC)(link)
[ Charles frowns. He could feel it, like being submerged in water. Instead of pushing through, Charles tries to insert his presence into the hallucination, leaning against the wall quietly. ]
grandstanding: (With your heart on my sleeve)

[personal profile] grandstanding 2016-06-14 09:37 am (UTC)(link)
[There's a strange moment where the vision blurs, and Erik sees a shadow.] What are you doing...?
axiomed: (But it makes sense to me)

[personal profile] axiomed 2016-06-14 09:38 am (UTC)(link)
[ Trying something different, Charles replies, can you see me? ]
grandstanding: (This hat is looking sideways.)

[personal profile] grandstanding 2016-06-14 10:44 am (UTC)(link)
I can see... something. It's shadowy. [He bites down on the nerves it inspires, knowing that this is Charles's influence and not himself seeing phantom things.]
axiomed: (I thought again of driving by)

[personal profile] axiomed 2016-06-14 10:45 am (UTC)(link)
[ Charles frowns, pulling it back. ]

And now?
grandstanding: (Those drapes man. So 1930s.)

[personal profile] grandstanding 2016-06-14 11:10 am (UTC)(link)
It's gone. [He forgoes 'looking' at Charles for now. He can't see him, and he's sure it's only bizarre to be stared at by someone who's essentially blind.]
axiomed: (Feeling sorry is your favourite feeling)

[personal profile] axiomed 2016-06-14 11:11 am (UTC)(link)
Would you prefer it to be there? Or I -- I could just read to you. To keep your mind off it.
grandstanding: (And you're asking yourself why.)

[personal profile] grandstanding 2016-06-14 11:13 am (UTC)(link)
You... can do both. [He's not particularly fond of the shadow, but it's something, and it could give Charles much-needed insight into how to break through an augment's interference.]
axiomed: (We are shadows)

[personal profile] axiomed 2016-06-14 11:15 am (UTC)(link)
[ He nods. Charles eases himself back into the vision, focusing on the details - his height, his mannerisms, his outline, hoping that it will stick. Meanwhile he flicks to the next page and begins ready outloud. ]

“You wanted hearts and flowers,” he murmurs.
I blink at him, not quite believing what I’m seeing.
“You have my heart.” And he waves toward the room.
“And here are the flowers,” I whisper, completing his sentence. “Christian, it’s lovely.”
grandstanding: (Secrets can be hurtful.)

[personal profile] grandstanding 2016-06-15 10:12 am (UTC)(link)
[Erik's attention is split between hearing the words - and really, who writes like this? - and watching the shadow materialise before him again. This time, the outline takes a more solid shape, slowly.]

And you said there's another book after this.
axiomed: (The best days are not planned)

[personal profile] axiomed 2016-06-16 01:17 am (UTC)(link)
[ He fleshes out the details, like painting a picture. ]

Yes? I believe so. I got two.
grandstanding: (This hat is for espionage.)

[personal profile] grandstanding 2016-06-17 09:43 am (UTC)(link)
[Little by little, the shadow gains more shape.]

Clearly someone out there reads them, if there's call enough for sequels.
axiomed: (No strings attached between you and me)

[personal profile] axiomed 2016-06-17 09:46 am (UTC)(link)
We all have our guilty pleasures. Surely you have a few.
grandstanding: (Waffle on the ceiling.)

[personal profile] grandstanding 2016-06-18 05:03 am (UTC)(link)
I'm not going to trot them out when you already know them.
axiomed: (Amazing it seems)

[personal profile] axiomed 2016-06-19 07:08 am (UTC)(link)
I wouldn't say I know all of them.
grandstanding: (The heart of this town has grown cold.)

[personal profile] grandstanding 2016-06-20 09:46 am (UTC)(link)
Name the ones you do.
