I felt a little lost, surrounded with all this modernity. All these beautiful, elegant women in their odd clothes and odd hair colors. I felt I must make a little difference, lest I shall pale in comparison.

I wouldn't call that silly. Nor do I think you have to worry about paling in comparison to anyone, Maegery. Lovely is as lovely does, no matter the world. Or ship, as it happens.

Alas, you have found my secret. I am terribly vain, at times. The audience have been kind to me so far and yet if I lose their affections - I might not be able to afford all the fabric I use for my gowns.

One is from home, the one I arrived in. The rest I make for myself, yes.

[ she smiles down at her current gown, she has worked quite tirelessly on it. ]

I was taught stitch-work and embroidery since I was a child. My septa had said a lady can show her talent in my ways but needle-work is the most precise of them all. We would sit together, me and my cousins and sew and gossip and eat cakes.
