[Sokka can be found in the captain's chair in the Blue Fish, where he's been sulking since he realised his ship is missing a very important person from the crew.]

For anyone who knows her, Katara's gone home. Things are...better back there, so she's gone back to something good at least. Jilly's gone too, she was a great cook :(

[They're going back to their tribe. To see how bad things are there. So some of that is a lie.]

But in other news, Azula's ALSO gone home, so the Blue Fish lockdown is done. People from other ships are freee to visit as they like. I'm keeping the locks for now- just in case- but they're not active right now. So the Blood Drive can come back to here as its base. Yay.

[Toph doesn't need to ask anyone what he's sulking about-- she felt the absence almost immediately. Somehow. It's probably thanks to the augment that she doesn't question how it happened so suddenly. Soon enough, Sokka has company on the bridge. For the moment, she just walks over and sits on the floor by the chair. It connects her more.]

[He glances down at her, before exhaling and moving to rest a hand on her shoulder, comfort, but not a hug either. TOUGH GUY COMFORT. ]

Hardly the group I'd choose to venture through space with when we're missing half. [She misses Aang and Katara, and while she wasn't around for Suki, she misses her, too.]

[Welp, that sure is a sad text to get after coming back from the moon expedition. Certainly can't hurt to send one back, even if it's a new frequency.]

Just missing my sister. I got used to her being around.

Oh uh. It's something my first mate runs. People in the Fleet come and donate some of their blood, get a drink and a cookie in return, then we store the blood. If there's ever an accident and someone needs more blood for the healers to fix them up, it means we have it in storage ready for them. Pretty important life-saving stuff.

[Allen heads to the bridge after he reads the announcement from Sokka. Sure he enough, he sees Sokka sulking in his captain chair. So he walks up and plops down into the folding beach chair they had put up for him with a sigh]

[The First Mate chair is the most glorious chair that ever there was. Sokka rubs the back of his head, sighing. ]

Yeah it does. It's not a fair trade. Getting rid of Azula but losing those two in the process.

Katara's really okay back home, right? [He didn't think Sokka was a liar. He just knew how these things go sometimes. Sometimes, people spin a nicer story to make things easier. He knows he's done it himself]

[He shrugs. ]

Katara's okay, but things in our tribe have been tough. We were getting ready to set off back there to see how we could help, last thing I remember.

...Less so with Azula but that's just life. [He sounds pretty flippant. Fuck Azula, man. ]

[Any loss of a loved one in the fleet is hard, but especially this, especially losing a family member. No doubt Sokka needs time to process alone, so Beverly tries to give him that, only appearing on the bridge after a long while. She watches him from the door for a minute or two before coming to stand beside him. She rests a hand gently on his shoulder.]

I'm sorry.

[She's good to him, she really is. He turns at her touch, offering a small, tired smile. ]

Hey, it's ok. I mean, she's home now, right?

[He's still not certain about that, and that bugs him a lot. ]

[Because that's really all they can do, is hope. Beverly wants to believe the people who have left have gone home, but like Sokka, she has her doubts. She gives his shoulder a reassuring squeeze.]

Wherever she is, she'll be fine. She's a smart, capable girl - and one I would not want to have to fight.

[Hope. It's a finite resource. Sokka knows eventually, he's going to run out of it, but for now he'll cling to it in desperation, hoping it'll keep him afloat. ]

Boy no, no one would want to fight Katara. She's got more skills than anyone when it comes to waterbending. She'll be okay.
